Well, thanks to Ken, G-Mann, GCR, Indy Blues and the rest of you gents, I have placed my G&B order yesterday. They are making it so it should be here in 4-5 weeks. I will keep you posted.

No PfH you are right it usually takes way less on a gb , at express shipping I could have had it here in 3 days, so what gives??

From my past dealings with G&B it seems that they allways state a longer estimate than it ends up taking. Thus eliminating emails and calls from impatient customers.

Yeah, and I think you mentioned that before.  It's always good to get the jacket earlier than planned rather than later and then you sit and wonder where it's at! |

The sales man told me that the Expedition is not a popular item and as such did not have my size in stock. They are making it up, thus the 4-5 weeks, etc. |

Glad to hear that you have one coming Cowboy! I hope, and feel pretty confident that you will be very happy with this jacket.  Did you wind up ordering goatskin like you planned? Not only do I believe it will arrive quicker than they stated, it's possible that goatskin may have added a week or two to their estimate. This is the best time to buy a jacket like this, because you won't be missing wearing it while you wait. Congrats on your choice and the best of luck on a good fit, right out of the gate (just a little bad cowboy humor for ya ). Now, what kind of hat will you wear with it.......  Ken |

The Expedition arrived on Friday some 2 weeks ahead of schedule. I will post pics soon..............because I want to break it in just a wee bit. I am also going to wait a few weeks before I give my review of this. I am doing so because I want to not be swayed by the newness and be able to give an hones opinion. I have now purchased a Wested, US Wings and now the G&B which I am going to attempt to give an honest comparison and review of it compared to the others. Some first impressions as a teaser. 1. I like it 2. It is a longer since it is a tall ( ) 3. It smells great 4. People at the office are wondering why my jacket smells new (I am not telling them this is my 3 IJ in a year ) 5. Did I mention that I like it?  To be continued. |
