Thanks, I'm also very pleased that Wested came through. I must say I'm really pleased with the horsehide. I bought it as an alternative to goat as I had to replace my old jacket and goat was no longer offered. As it is, I actually prefer it. Although it feels really tough, the leather is wonderfully smooth and not at all stiff. I ordered mine with no leather facings, which I think improves the drape and gives it more of an Indy look. For a heavier hide i think the horsehide drapes very well. If you're looking for a durable leather jacket that drapes well I think Wested's horsehide is a pretty good choice. I've only been wearing mine for 2 days and already it's starting to gain some character. These are bad quality indoor pics, but I'll post them anyway.

Congrats Pagey! The jacket looks great. I recently picked up a used Wested H.H., and I was suprised at how nice the leather looks and feels. It's similar to the goat, as far as toughness and drape, but without the waxy look and "creakiness"the goat seems to have.
I think Westeds H.H. is a great choice if your looking for an Indy jacket that can take a beating. Although it doesn't have the drape of a lambskin, it still drapes nicely, and the trade-off is worth it if you want a workhorse jacket. 'Blues

Looks and sounds great. Still with the D-Rings though. When in the hell is Wested going to learn? They've only been doing this for year and years now.

That jacket looks fantastic Pagey. Glad things got taken care of. The horsehide Wested was my next option if the G&B goat hadn't worked out. Steve

Good lookin' jacket Was it off the rack, or did it have other mods, besides the longer sleeves?

Beautiful jacket...absolutely beautiful!!! That thing looks like a well-worn jacket that has already seen some adventures...and yet it's only two days old! Incredible! That is one hell of an awesome looking jacket with some great character to it. -GCR

It is a perfect fit - I asked for a size 40, 8os fit and gave Peter specific shoulder and sleeve measurements. Other than no inside facings, I didn't have any specific requests. The pocket flaps are how he's doing them these days it seems. And I didn't ask for rectangular sliders either. I'm not so detail obsessed about the Raiders jacket - issues about collar/storm flap alignment, yoke placement, d-rings really don't bother me. I just want a well made and tough jacket of a raiders design that fits me correctly. And now I've got one.

Mrs. Blooze says I have to wait until we go to London for a vacation on 2009 to get my HH. I hope I can wait. That is a sweet jacket.
