Todd's Jacket Pricing

Hello, all!

Just wanted to let you know that due to being stretched a little too thin for the next few months, I am going to have to suspend the club discount offer beginning August 1. I might re-instate it in the future when things get slow, but we'll see.

The price posted on the website is $499. Yeah, I know it's higher than some of the competition, but that's what I need to charge for a number of reasons. It boils down to the kind of shop I have and the kind of employees I have. We just can't whip these out factory-style. We take a lot of time to handle each order, adjust patterns, and cut each one to order. And the two people I have who have the skill to handle these are also doing a million other items as well - Gladiator suits, Xena dresses, boots, holsters...on and on. But these are my problems, not yours.

I wanted to give you a few days warning before discontinuing the club discount - just in case anyone was waiting on a purchase. But please note that if you order now to get in before the cut off, there will be a long wait. As I mentioned, we're heading in to a busy time of year and jackets will be less of a priority.

I would imagine that with Halloween only 3 months away the Costume business will be picking up.

If tougher financial times hadn't hit our family over the past year, I wuold have already ordered one of your fine looking jackets Todd. I know the people who have benefited from John's generosity and your special pricing for Indy insiders, do appreciate it. Most folks can understand that you need to cover costs and make a profit for this to make any sense at all. Those who don't aren't worth the time to argue with anyway.

Good luck on a busy Halloween season and thanks for all the nice looking jackets we have seen lately.

Well, by the time I get my financial situation back on track you'll probably be offering the "club" price again. ;D

I totally understand your situation Todd and I know you've got a business to run. It's also not like the jackets aren't worth every penny either. I trust the guys opinions around here and I've heard nothing but positive remarks about the jacket.

I do worry though that your getting into the Flightsuits jacket price range and you're going to be going up against that and they've got a very strong following. It might end up being a tougher competitor than going up against Wested.

I thank you though for striving to give us fans the most screen accurate jacket possible.

Thanks for the comments. I really can't look at the competition. I just have to price by my own costs. If it's too much... then I won't sell any. I'm fine with that. If I didn't have any work to do then I could go get a real job.
