I decided to make a full image shot of the Indy 4 jacket from the video footage that aired this week on Entertainment Tonight. I made this photo of the Indy 4 jacket by seaming together two different screen caps: Though there will be multiple jackets used, and they will no doubt vary accordingly.... I have to say that the aging was much more tastefully done this time than in LC. Of course, more detail could show in better lighting. But, it seems more natural looking to me, which is a very good sign. Ken

Great job on the "splicing", Ken. I can't tell where the seam is. Very nice work. You're right, it is hard to really tell since the pic is taken in the shade, and the poor quality of the source pics. I just hope it doesn't have the overall "acid-wash" look to the jacket. I can't wait for more pics. 'Blues

Great comp RB!
I'm pretty sure the jacket will be as matt as seen there and a lot like the finish you see on the LC jacket, slightly dusty and quite light coloured, and warmer brown certainly not as dark as the Raiders jacket.

Thanks guys! The screen caps were actually different widths too, which meant I had to "produce" parts of the sleeves so they lined up properly. I also just took a best guess as to how long the jacket should be... and still allow me to line up the opening space in the middle. I just thought it would be nice to see the jacket as a whole. Ken

Okay... anyone care to share where they heard who got the jacket contract? I know who it is and where I heard it, but I have no intention of getting that person in any sort of potential trouble.

I Know who made the Jackets as well as many other folks. However I do not think authorization to announce that has been given as of yet.

Thanks much about the photo Pitfall. I did that a while back, just to see what it would look like. I'll carry over to this thread what I said in the recent hat one... In theory, keeping the news quiet until it's been publicly released would ensure no fallout on the jacket maker or the person(s) that let their name come out. I have no clue what the scenario is on keeping that particular name under wraps, though I do know who it is. I have no desire to mention it, just on the off chance it could come back to bite the person I heard it from. I also have no connection or personal relationship with the jacket maker, unlike the hatter. But, I don't wish anyone harm here either. Ken

I will go out on a limb and state that I believe that the new IV vendor is Todd. Look at the drape in the photo above. It screams the stuff we have seen by new Todd clients. I have always suspected that the photo above is cowhide. Cowboy

I don't think it's Todd. His jacket hasn't been around that long and I doubt the people involved with the film would go with someone relatively new when it comes to making jackets.
I'm going to just take a wild guess and say it's a G&B jacket.
I'm not an expert on all the "small details" like the pocket sizing and that stuff but I know other people here are and I would think they'd be able to tell who made the jacket just by looking at the pocket sizes and placement.

If that were the case, wouldn't they be offering their current jackets in Cowhide?

That I don't know. Are you sure that jacket is really Cowhide?
Of course if it is G&B then couldn't they get Cowhide and make the jackets if that's what the costumer wanted the jacket to be made out of?
There was another wild rumor floating around that US Wings got the deal for the film. That seems like a stretch to me.......but who knows for sure.

Wowee! Lot's of names being bandied about.... it's actually NONE of the usual suspects. There is a bodybuilding connection . (Will please certain parties). I suspected that Wings had managed to line themselves up for the 'official' mass market jacket.... and this is still possible but I have no evidence that this is the case. Their massive stock clearout a few months ago might have been to clear room for indy 4 jackets.

I think G-Mann supplied the jackets from his personal collection.

KT gave a key hint here..... it's not one of the usual players. I seriously doubt anyone would be able to just guess, since it's not a name we would ever hear of in our normal lives. How's that for a joy killer hint? Ken

I think G-Mann supplied the jackets from his personal collection. Exactly, this way it will be totally confusing when the movie comes out. A Todd's in one scene, a Wested in the next. Two scenes later a G&B. ;D I do believe Wex has something here ;D Oh, by the way, from what I have heard they cost more than TWICE the price of a G&B. Cheers, G-MANN

That'll be all the extra leather and stitching with kevlar thread:
They will, if nothing else, be sturdy.

Who made Arnold's jacket in the Terminator Movies? ? langlitz??? www.langlitz.com/shoptour.shtml They seem to fit the small shop category we have head rumors about??

I'm definitely not feeling those snaps at the top and bottom. I will guess that the jackets are coming from an as yet unknown source or from a major jacket maker who can profit from the publicity later. I am kind of bummed that they didn't go with Wested. They seemed to make an effort to get the best hats on the market. Why wouldn't they go with Wested as they did with the 3 previous films? I'm guessing they have some beef with Wested or Wested's success in selling Indy jackets prompted another player to beat them to the punch, possibly even supplying jackets for free in exchange for the publicity to come later. Wested has proven that the Indy jacket market can be very profitable. I guess we'll all find out down the road. Now, if we can just find out who's supplying the fullers earth and spray on sweat.
