Ladies and Gentlemen, Here is a pretty cool comparison for those interested in off the rack sizes and hides. The jacket on the left is Horse Hide size 40 regular Raiders style ( this jacket has had the water treatment with great results) I would also like to say that the HH is tough as nails and is very comfortable. Also the HH is a heavy leather but man it is nice. The jacket on the right is a Lambskin size 42 regular Temple style. Its lightweight and its much longer than the raiders jacket. could also be longer because its a size larger. either way I love them both. The lamb is brand new, about 2 days old. If anyone wants more pics just ask. Also you can see the difference in the color. Sincerely, Prof.Wex

Wex, Those are both beauties. I have to say I really like the look of the HH. I'm sure Pagey will like seeing these pics too. By the way, If you ever want to get rid of your US Wings let me know. Cheers, G-MANN

Cool comparison shots, Wex! Are both of those jackets the Authentic brown color? They both look great, that is for sure. I'd love to get me an Indy jacket in Horse Hide one of these days, but there are quite a few things higher up on my gear wishlist right now. I currently have a Wested lamb, and boy, do I love it. It may not be screen-accurate, but it's held-up like a trooper and aged very nicely and of course it has that awesome lambskin drape. Of your two jackets there, which one do you find yourself favoring these days? Based on how good they look, I'm sure it's a hell of a choice! ;D -GCR

G-Mann Check your PM's, GCR, I think I'm favoring the HH right now but probably cause its so broke in. I'm actually thinking of wetting the Lamb tonight but I'm not sure yet. I think maybe Ill let it age naturally. But your right it is a tough choice on which one is better. I love them both. The sleeves on the lamb are not as narrow but thats good cause I can wear a sweater under it. Sincerely, Prof.Wex

That is a big difference in both color and length! I can't believe that one size up would make the jacket that much longer without appearing to be any wider. Either way, I'm glad you like them both, which is all that matters anyway. Ken

That's very nice to see how the horse breaks in. I love how my goat has developed over te past couple of years- water, a little artificial distressing with acetone/sandpaper, lots of natural rough and tumble, and never getting hung up - just thrwon in a corner. And of course - no pecards. Only trouble is it's a little too small, partly due to shrinking after a deluge in Venice followed by hours on a hot bus. I've just ordered the horsehide as a replacement! Very much looking forward to getting it! JUst for fun, here's how my goat looks these days.

The HH comes in 1 colour AFAIK somewhere between dark brown and authentic brown. Admittedly the the current authentic brown looks quite grey when new, but that greyness goes away with time.
Of the 2 jackets the longer one is a TOD so is supposed to be longer (as far as recieved knowlege states and the way Peter cuts them for TOD 'style' jackets).
