A few pics to illustrate how to do this: 1) Undo the strap: 2) Turn the ring around: 3) Lever open the join. 4) Remove D Ring 5) Gently lever open Rectangular Ring. (Wrap the pliers with a little bit of tape to prevent scratching). 6) Slide back onto loop and close ring, turn round ring... Volia job done.

Hey guys, just wanted to share with everyone a few more options for sliders. the black sliders are from G-Mann, thanks again to John for the sliders. the silver sliders come from Tandy leather in a 10 pack. And the brass sliders can be found at Michale's Arts and Craft store or Hancock Fabrics, or any fabric store. If you have a craft store in your area like Michale's or Hobby Lobby, go to the sewing section and you'll find the brass sliders in packs of 4, they are only a couple of dollars. Sincerely, Prof.Wex

Well, I came up with a great way to utilize your old D-rings once you swap them out for the retangular sliders. Yesterday, the chain inside my toilet tank broke thanks to years and years of rust (it's an old toilet and we have very hard water). After looking through my toolbox for something to use to replace it, I came across the old Wested D-rings. Two of them looped together did the job nicely! ;D -GCR

I guess they ARE good for something after all. Here's another idea. A thread entitled: "Where are your Wested D-rings now?". My answer: One is hanging a picture on my wall. The rest are in my toolbox waiting for my toilet chain to break.

Just wondering.......Does the ROLA Special Offer from Wested come with the rectangular sliders as standard? As i got mine today and that`s what it came with. It was a replacement for a Standard Raiders and that came with D-rings.
Just curious! Mikie.

They've done a few runs of those, some have had the D Rings on by mistake.
To be fair, I'm sure the outsourced factory is pretty bemused as to why they 'keep changing their minds'! I'm sure they don't know why it would be correct on one jacket and not another!
Anyway, they are the easiest thing in the world to replace. They are just simple paired black rectangular wire rings. If you can't find any locally I can hook you up with some. PM me.
Don't send it back to get them changed, like I've heard some people have done, that just daft and environmentally irresponsible, not to mention expensive!

Mikie, if your jacket came with sliders and it's a Raiders style, then you should be all set. The sliders are Raiders accurate, while the D-rings are accurate to LC and KOTCS (possibily some scenes of TOD as well, but I don't remember exactly on that one) Any chance of getting some pics of the sliders on the ROLA? I'm curious to see what they look like up close. Hell, I'd love to see pics of the entire jacket for that matter. Congrats by the way!

Hi guys!
I have to take some pics of it and then work out how to post them on here....lol! It`s my first Indy jacket! (Well second if you count the first one that i returned, which was a standard Raiders.) I exchanged it because when i put it on, one side of the collar would hang down much lower than the other. Some people said it might even out over time but i think this one was just cut like that. It just didn`t look right! I had to exchange my 36 Indy pants for size 34 anyway, so i thought i might as well exchange the jacket and get one that i`d be happy with, seeing as i was already paying the postage to send the pants. Also, the standard even in lamb seemed a bit heavy to me, compared to what i had imagined. It was size 44, which i thought would be right as it is my suit jacket size, but it seemed just a touch too big. Before i sent it back i looked into it carefully, as it can become quite costly sending stuff from Australia to England! I thought about exchanging it for a size 42, but then i looked at the Special Offer version and noticed it had the slimmer cut, slightly lighter leather and the other options, and thought if i just get that in my original size 44 then it should be just right! Well i got it yesterday and i think it is pretty much spot on! The length is different (slightly longer which is better for me) it`s lighter, the sleeve length is perfect and the collar is fine! And the lamb is sooooooo soft! It looks much more screen accurate too! I`ll probably wear it for the first time this weekend...i want it to naturally distress, which will probably take a while! Gemma was very helpful too, didn`t mind me exchanging it at all, and sent the new one within a week!
If anyone else here has the Special Offer i`d love to hear your thoughts on it!
Cheers, Mikie!
