That sounds like a glitch in his website. It looks to me like you're doing everything right. Did you try to contact Magnoli directly? I'm guessing he's not even aware of the problem.

I succesfully passed the check out step of my order ( I don't know how, I used same procedure as before but was not caught in the loop) BUT, when I have confirmed shipping address and am ready to make payment I get this message..." This invoice has already been paid. For more information, please contact the merchant." ??!? Already been paid ? How can that be ? I did not enter my Paypal account information yet !! The content of my cart still shows in my account, I can't complete payment and it says payment has been made !? And then, I went back to check on my shopping cart to try to complete payment and now there is another similar order to my account in a second seperate order ??!! I did not order a second item I just reviewed the previous one to try and complete payment ! From my account there is no way I can complete payment of the first order and delete the second one !? Never have I been so confused and have waisted so much time trying to order online !

Yes and he responded quickly. He says he has problems with his "check-out" procedure, he suggest I should send payment directly in his Paypal account to complete transaction. I never dealt with him before...Can he be trusted ? Oh, guess what I'm trying to buy ?

Wow, Stef......sorry to read you're having so much trouble with his site. At least he got back with you right away. I have no doubt Magnoli can be trusted. If he was any kind of a crook they would have ran him outta town a long time ago. I don't think you've got anything to worry about with him. Of course it getting lost in the mail is a whole other ball of wax.... I'm guessing you're ordering a Grail from him to go along with the Diary?

Indy Magnoli is a top-notch dealer. All I have purchased has been fantastic quality delivered in a timely manner.
You have nothing to worry about based on my past experiences.

Nope...I want a blank journal to make my own grail diary...to go along with my inserts. If you remember what I've said about my diary replica I've obtained and the new inserts I've printed for it... "the inserts will look better than the diary ! " I am considering making my own... Thanks guys ! I will forward him my payment right away !!

Well, I won't actually "built" it...I know there is a tutorial for actually making your own journal, (binding and cutting the pages, making the leather cover etc...) but I'm opting for the blank one I will fill-in with reproductions of the most know diary pages...well maybe some of them. Maybe I'll just use it as my own diary after all... ;D Replicating the Grail diary involves lots of patience, which I don't have in abundance. ... ;D We'll see. I think it will be a while before I have any images made and ready to show...At least I have all the inserts to fill it with. ;D

I've only ordered one thing from him, and that was a couple of years ago now. I had no problems ordering back then.

I ordered one of his Indy shirts, thinking it would be a cheaper alternative to the real thing. It's very well made, but is basically just a dress shirt with pleats. Everything Magnoli makes seems to be well made, but none of it strikes me as real adventure wear. To me, his stuff is more for the "adventure style" dress clothes wearer, or vintage clothing fan than for people looking for real Indy items or outdoor worthy stuff. Ken

Ken You know, I've read comments like this about Magnoli's stuff numerous times, even from people who have never even seen his stuff in person. I don't get. His stuff looks "dressy" because it's actually well made (an alien concept in modern clothing, I realize). Adventure wear is just good, solid stuff that gets adventured in, and survives. I'd trust one of Mag's "dress shirts with pleats" to survive better than any of the major offerings I'm aware of. And I've been in the company of most of them. Mag's materials an stitching are both solid. It just so happens that when it's new it actually looks new! Um, much like a brind new Wested jacket, as I recall. Back on Topic, though... I've deal with Magnoli at least four times. You can trust him.

I've deal with Magnoli at least four times. You can trust him. For the record, I'm not basing my opinions on other people's thoughts, just my own. I was crediting him where it's due; he sold a very well made shirt. Unfortunately, the pattern and material are all wrong. It looks and feels like a dress shirt with pleats. That's what I meant by dressy, along with looking at most everything else he sells in the clothing department and getting the same impressions. Oh and I washed and dyed that shirt no less than 30 times in an attempt to make it better, but nothing changed. So, it is still just a well made dress shirt that will stay that way for a long time.
