I'm thinking about selling my Todd's jacket, mainly because I really don't need 3 jackets, and I could use the extra cash. It's a size 40R in cowhide. If anyone is interested, then please send me a PM, thanks.

Selling it already? We never even got to see it after the whole jacket deal from G-Mann was done. Ken

Aww, don't give him a hard time.
Don't know about you but there's be a couple of times I've gone and bought something then realised I didn't really "need" it and the money would have come in useful instead!

Compulsion? Nah, more of an impulse buy -- couldn't pass up the chance to get a jacket from Todd, especially with the lounge deal that John was offering at the time...but now that I have 3 jackets in my possession, I realize that I really don't need that many...at least not as much as I need the extra cash if I sell one...

I just think it's a bit crappy since John was so nice and paid for a portion of the jacket and then you turn and want to sell it so soon after. I know it's yours to so with as you wish but your impulse was partially at his expense. So, he paid for part of your jacket and now you could use the money?

Okay, first off it is indeed my jacket, & I'll do with it as I please -- whether that means keeping it, selling it or burning it. And second, I was going to sell it for the same deal price that I got it for. I don't know what you guys are thinking -- are you assuming that I got it for a $100 discount, and now I'm going to turn around & sell it at full price to make a profit?? My selling the jacket at the same discounted price that I got it for is the same thing as me passing the deal on to someone else, so John's expense as you call it would have either been for me or someone else...and I still do appreciate what he did for all of us with his deal...

Well...yes. You didn't mention anything about passing on the discount. You only mentioned that you need the cash which made it totally sound like you were going to get what you could for it. Now that you have straightened this up for us I commend you for passing down the deal to another gearhead who's probably 'Jonesing' for a Todd's jacket. You got a beautiful jacket and I know someone out there will be more than pleased.
No hard feelings I hope. Just don't burn it. ;D

Well, you'll also notice that no price was specified, and no one bothered to ask before "shooting first" with derogatory comments -- inferring that I was an unsavory character trying to make a buck off of someone's good-natured deal. That wasn't the case, either then or now. No hard feelings, but for future reference, trying asking the questions before shooting...

I certainly will. Or, you could just post the price right out or say you're passing on the deal so nobody can think any differently. I'd think that would guarantee to attract more buyers, epsecially at that nice price.

Yes, I could have done that, but it may have lead people to believe that the jacket was definitely for sale, instead of possibly. I understand that I did not specify, and that lead to assumptions being made, but there still could have been inquiries made as to the selling price...

Just chiming in to say that I was meaning we never got to see the jacket at all. I wasn't implying anything about you turning a profit on it. I can see how that would look to be the case though, and am glad to hear you are a "savory" character afterall. Just curious though.... do you not like Todd's jacket as well as the others? I'm asking because you chose to sell it instead. Ken
