With all this talk about A2 leather jackets recently I decided to check out what was available. I really Like Rundquists. The color and the texture is very classic. But in my search I found this offering from Eastman Leather. I love the color and I like the fit. I like my jackets close to the body. I got the 80's cut on my wested. I read up on the jacket and looked at all the pictures they had and thought I'd really like to own this one. But the price blew me away, close to $900. and that's without the shipping. What do you think about the jacket? Do you think it's worth the price?

Personally, I couldn't imagine any jacket being worth that much money. That may be because I'm not in the income bracket of the folks who regularly dish out big bucks for designer items or stuff like this. But, it's just not in my nature to spend that much on a jacket. It looks nice though... Ken

I think it's a damn nice jacket, Jorenz. I've always liked the A-2s, but unlike you, I can't wear them with a close fit...and it seems all the nice ones come like that. I also love all kinds of leather jackets, but I am hard pressed to spend $900 on one. Maybe if it was a really special piece. Most I've spent was about $480 for my G&B lamb Expedition, and that was rough. Nothing wrong with spending that much, if it's in your budget, but never seeing one up close, or trying it on, I'd be nervous. Sorry, don't think I was much help. 'Blues

$900 bucks? What the hell is it made from, gold? There's no reason any jacket should cost that much, unless it's the jacket some famous person died in, or, like I said, if it's made out of gold or something. But just some regular, old A-2? Save your money... -GCR

I really like the look of that jacket. The fit looks terrific. Not so much a fan of the light-colored elastic. Everything else looks great! That looks like an A2 with minimal bulkage. The $900 factor automatically cancels it out as far as being "that" likeable, though. It looks like the exact same jacket directly from their website is less expensive. Still in the $500 range but better than $900. It is a might fine looking A2, though.

It's a great jacket to be sure but that's really way over priced. Search the web and you can find a number of great, high quality alternatives in the $350 to $550 range. US Authentic is a personal favorite of mine and it can be had for close to $300 in goat skin.
