Hi everyone. It's certainly easier to register here than over at COW! Thanks for that.
I'm new here and am about to order a G&B Expedition in the goat skin. I did look closely at Wested because of all the great things I've heard about those jackets. However, recent threads on COW and here had me concerned due to pockets being too large, wrong sizes sent, etc. Shipping stuff back and forth to the UK doesn't sound fun.
Here's my question on the G&B, Jeremy (my sales rep -- great guy) is recommending a 38 S. I wear a 37S in a suit/sport coat. I'm 5'6", 135 pounds, with a 32" waist and 35" chest. I've heard these jackets are on the big side, so I'm concerned the 38 will be too big. Any thoughts?
Thanks again and good to be here, Steve

Steve,
First off Welcome to the Lounge.
I have had a few G&B Expeditions and I think that thier sizing is pretty darn accurate.
There are a few other Expedition owners here that I'm quite certain will chime in shortly on this topic.
Cheers, G-MANN

I wear a 46 suit jacket, and a size 46 G&B fit me perfect, with a little bit of room for layering, if needed. When I originally ordered from them, I told them I was a size 47 chest, and they recommended a size 48. When it arrived, the 48 was way too large for me. I had to return it for a size 46. Now, as a personal preference, I wanted a nice fitted look to the jacket, you may prefer a real loose modern fit. If you want it to fit like the film jacket fit Ford, order true to your size, if you want alot more room, go a size up. If you are a 35" chest a size 36 G&B would probably fit perfect. You would swim in a 38. Good luck, 'Blues

Yes... welcome indeed! I have no Expedition right now, but have heard nothing but great responses from everyone that does.
