I'm in the market for a Grail Diary. I have found some on eBay, but I know that Magnoli makes the best ones. But since he's not selling them anymore I may be forced to buy another maker's (unless you wanna part with your Magnoli diary?!).
What are the best non-Magnoli ones available? What price is resonable to pay for them?

Magnoli isn't making Grail Diaries anymore? I had no idea... I'm a bit surprised, to be honest. I thought this was sort of his "signature" piece, as far as prop replicas go. He's been making them as far back as I can recall. When did you discover he had stopped offering them? Did he post something on his site? -GCR

He has a note at the top of his website stating "Please do NOT ask me to sell any of my Indy props". Seems LucasArts has clamped down on the prop makers.

Yep. With new licensing agreements and better awareness on their part as to who has been making money with their property, Lucasfilm has indeed been closing up a shop or two. It was only a matter of time anyway as you can't profit from someone else's copywritten property without paying them for it. However... I just checked on Ebay and found 3 on the auction block right this moment: search.ebay.com/grail-diary_W0QQ_trksidZm37QQfromZR40Hopefully one will be what you're looking for, Ken

Does anyone know anything about the seller or this specific replica? How's the quality compared to Magnoli's?

Well, they are using another font than Magnoli's and the inserts are... Well, they look very "printed out of a computer"ish.

Yeah, they do, but I'm kinda figuring that I'd learn how to and age them myself. It will be my first grail diary, so it's not supposed to be perfect.

Also, thinking about maybe buying the inserts seperate from someone else, in case these ones aren't very good copies.

I actually have one of those eBay diaries for myself, I'll start using that one now on convention (it's cool when it's closed, so that's why I'm using it). I'll have a "storyline" on the convention, because CR actually has a Grail for me...
