In this weeks Entertainment Weekly Magazine there is an article with various movie props. Among them are a few Star Wars Light Sabers, Han Solo Blaster, Owl from Psycho and many others. As well as this..... Cheers, G-MANN

Cool pic...is it just me, or does this idol look a bit more shiny and reflective than the "stunt" idol in the Lucasfilm archives book. I'm guessing that the "hero" idol must have been the one with the "real" eyes, that we see up on the pedestal. Is this just a nicer version of the stunt idol or might this be an alternate version of the hero prop, sans the "real eyes"? Interesting little article, either way! Thanks G-MANN! -GCR

Thanks for posting, John. You were right. If the mouth wasn't downturned, I'd swear I was looking right at my Gobler Idol.

Hey, very cool find, G-MANN! I've often wondered if anyone ever bothered to make a "real eyes" version of the idol, so it's cool to see that one actually does exist. I'd say these guys did a pretty good job with it, though it would be interesting to see a version of the idol that tries to duplicate the look of the real eyes idol, without the plugs and mechanism. -GCR
