It WAS amazing! I didn't get to see it in IMAX, but I saw it in Real D 3D on opening night. I also saw it again tonight at a local drive-in theater.
Great, fun, exciting movie!

I thought I would enjoy it, but it was pretty damn awesome! Lots of fun and each character was given equal screen time. No one outshone the others, and it was hilarious to boot! Highly recommended seeing in the theater because it was easily worth the ticket price to see on the big screen.

Yes saw it opening night and it was AWESOME! I had no doubt it was going to be amazing. Been looking forward to it since they first announced it. I'll probably see it two or three more times.

My older sister saw it with her friend. She wanted me to put it on our Blu-Ray wish list.

I thought it was a great movie and the well written, sarcastic humor was a nice bonus. Ken

Yes, I've seen it twice. One was in 3d ( HEADACHE! ) and the other regular. It was AWESOME both times.
That's saying something for me, I've NEVER seen a movie in theaters twice until this one.

The Avengers marked the first time I was able to appreciate Surround Sound. Now, if only 7.1 Sound Systems were cheaper... Steven

Just throwing this out there, for those that don't know...
"The Avengers" was not filmed in 3D. It was converted, which makes a huge difference in the realism and headache factor. Conversions are never as good as the real thing, though they can still be enjoyable. Just something to consider.
Also, movies filmed especially for IMAX are the only ones that will look good there... unless they show you the movie at a considerably smaller size. The IMAX film spec is twice the size of regular film used for movies, which is why they can show it on such large screens and not lose any detail.
I enjoy watching movies made "for IMAX" in an IMAX theater, but would never waste any money watching a non IMAX release there.
