Wishfull thinking ! ;D The only way they could be bringing Henry Sr. would be by flashback or setting the film a few years earlier than KOTCS...(that would make it a prequel to KOTCS and a sequel to the other 3 movies ) that would be unlikely as H-Ford can't possibly be playing the role several years younger than in KOTCS wich was released 2 years ago already ! As chronologically H-Ford was already 6 years older than Indy (in Last crusade and) in KOTCS which was set in 1957...Indy, born in 1899 was 58 and Ford was 64 when shooting the movie. He can't pretend to be 55 when he will probably be 70 when shooting. (If the sequel happens to be a prequel that is) quote from the article: Henry Sr. was never mentioned as "gone" in KOTCS. Indy said : " Brutal couple of years huh Charlie ? ...First my dad then Marcus..." Marcus has obviously passed away so if he is reffering to him after mentioning his dad, then Henri Sr. must have passed away also. Indy also talks of Mac..."And now Mac may as well be dead..." Charlie replies: "We seem to be at the age wher life stops giving us things and starts taking them away." At the very end of the movie, Indy looks at the sky and says to Mutt: Somewhere you're Grandpa is laughing !" They are obviously talking of people being dead...not "gone" or "retired".

Yeah it does seem unlikely. But maybe he isn't really dead. Everyone thinks he's dead, but maybe Henry Jones Sr. could have been captured and is being kept somewhere like in Last Crusade. So it wouldnt be a prequel but a sequel. I dont know just an idea.

Indy said : "Brutal couple of years huh Charlie ? ...First my dad then Marcus..." I think he's specifically referring to the people's reaction from seeing the script and then refusing to be in the movie. Didn't he say something at the end about his dad looking down and smiling or something like that? Connery seems pretty passionate about his retirement. I doubt anything will lure him back.

There is sufficient digital technology to de-age Ford quite convincingly. If you look at X-men The Last Stand it was very well accomplished. Many actors are enhanced digitally today as an opposed to actually have cosmetic operations. This new process is extremely secretive and there is actually a confidentiality agreement over it. I saw this technology on a film documentary. It would be plausible for there to be a prequel, besides the fact that it would probably be much better to not have Mutt in the next movie.

While I agree that not having Mutt in the next one would be a plus, I also think the last thing these movies need is more CGI. Maybe the best solution is an animated series. Set it in any time period and all the characters can come back. Might be cool if done right.

It could be a prequel I saw something on TV that said they have a program to make people look younger. It softens wrinkles and stuff I forgot what it was called but it looked neat. I wish it would be a prequel though.
