Thanks, Indianalex! My young daughters are fascinated by it. I will have to keep a close eye on it or they could make like Belloq and snatch it away!

It looks good and I think I've seen that on Ebay before...... Is the idol permanently attached to the display base or does it come off?

Hi everyone, thanks for the feedback.
The Idol is not attached to the base, it's just something included by the seller for display. The idol stands on its own without difficulty. As far as availability of more, I'm sure there are as I've seen the seller advertise more since I purchased. The description states it is cast in "stone". I don't know about that, but it sure is heavy. Almost 5lbs!
It's a pretty good starter prop, and just whets my appetite for more!

Thanks for the info and the pics, Tron. That one has popped up on Ebay before and I've been tempted to buy it but I was afraid because of the low cost the thing would end up being hallow or the paint would end up flaking off along with pieces of the idol. That doesn't look like that's the case at all.........I need an idol to go with my new map Indyenigma made for me. Maybe I'll get one of these.

Cool idol...for a cool price. Looks a lot like mine... yours...I think they even have the same "stretch marks"...and the same "dimples" over the left eye and on their bottom lip and chin! Both, probably originate from the same mold.

Man, I gotta start hunting around eBay for one of these! $37 bucks is just too good a deal to pass up for a decent Idol replica! Stef & Tron, both your idols look great guys! I think Stef might be right about them being from the same mold. -GCR

I can't recall the seller, as I got mine a few years ago, but when I purchased my idol the add said the same thing :"cast in stone" and it weighs about 5lbs also.
