Well, somebody just saved me $169.00. The Goatskin G-2 in my size is gone. All for the better, I imagine.

I wish the jacket looked like the picture on their site - that looks great, especially the texture of the lamb in the close ups. The jacket John got doesn't do it for me at all, whatever the price.

The jacket in that pic on their website DOES look very good. It is too bad they didn't look a thing like it.
(I was speaking of the US Wings G-2 in that last post, not this jacket, btw.) Wrong thread.
Curiously, enough. If Todd's comes back looking similar to the one from that "ad" pic, it's going to be good!

Is the Sportsmans Guide jacket the Protocol with the 3 piece sleeve and the "orange" tint? I'm confused as all hell now.

Is the Sportsmans Guide jacket the Protocol with the 3 piece sleeve and the "orange" tint? I'm confused as all hell now. Yes, the jacket John put up a photo of is the Protocol jacket from Sportsmanguide. It is actually a U.S. Wings jacket (one of the imported ones currently on clearance) with a Protocol label on it. It's a finely made jacket, as U.S. Wings usually are... but is clearly not what was pictured on the sportmansguide webpage. Sad too, because the on they advertised was a nicer looking jacket in my opinion. Ken

Please.... there are no morons here, only moronic questions! Only kidding of course! That thread got a little sidetracked, so it's quite understandable that someone could get lost in it. I'm just glad John was able to help alot of people out with the real scoop about the jacket. Ken
