Those are killer prices, although I would proceed with caution. They are not the US made USWings,....they are "high quality" foreign made versions, with USWings labels. I would love to see pics before buying. Not saying they can't be great jackets, I just wonder if they are built to the same specs as the rest of the USWings jackets.....or better!! Wonder if Sarge will accomadate with some pics or info?? Thank you for posting this, Ken. 'Blues

Nice find! I noticed their "regular" US made jackets are also on sale as well, just not as deeply discounted. $150 is a great price for a off-the-rack Indy jacket, especially if someone is looking to try out another type of leather.

Thanks IndyBlues, I didn't know they had two versions of their jackets. It's always nice to have the info to go with the special sale prices..... Ken

I agree with proceeding with caution. They've never offered these jacket for sale before. Now, here they are and on clearance. Most of US Wings' products are USA made. I wonder if these foreign made jackets were part of an experiment or trial run that didn't work out. Now, they're just going to unload them. This is just a theory but I do know that another US manufacturer, Cooper, did this a few years ago and the result was the same. Double check me on this, but I believe their policy doesn't allow for returns on clearance items.

Havana, you read my mind. Although, low-priced, where have these jackets been this whole time? Still, for someone it's a good price on a jacket. And of course, when the disclaimer warns that all sales are final so be sure to get the size right, suddenly $150 is not so affordable. ;D "Hi, Yes, I just paid $150.00 for what looks like it might be an Indy "car coat" model? It's not quite what I thought it wou- Hello? Hello......" It was nice of them to mention this information up front, however, so someone really shouldn't be too surprised if the jacket's not what they expected. Now, if these were the US made US Wings versions for this price........I'd most certainly have one.....or two, maybe.

Has anyone ordered one of these? It'd still be interesting to see how they turned out. Who knows, they might be just fine and we'll all be kicking ourselves for over-speculation.

Don't look at me. I am jacketed out my friend. I am interested in seeing what one of these look like though.
The thing that bothers me from the Picture ( Tone pointed this out to me ) the sleeves seem to be no longer than the jacket. So either it has real short sleeves or it's a really long jacket.
Cheers, G-MANN

Tone, did you check out the prices on the U.S. made A-2s?? The goatskin, and goatskin 2000 are both $10 cheaper than last weak. $195.00!!! I would kick up the extra $45 and go for that. That's a great deal, I may even grab one, lol. 'Blues

Yes, IndyBlues, I've been eye-teetering those US authentic Goat A-2s for over a week, now. Those are hard to resist! However, I'm torn between a jacket or an Indy on a Budget from Winrich.
G-Mann, I wonder if those are just promotion stills that 'might' reflect the actual jacket. But the more I look at them, the more the arms seem to maybe even be a bit shorter than the jacket length. Might be the angle of the camera. ::shrug:: It's just too scary for me to buy one to find out. ;D

Here is what US Wins said: "Thank you for your inquiry to www.uswings.comThe only difference in the two jackets is the lining. The ones made overseas have a different lining than the ones we make here. Everything else is the same. We do not have pictures of these jackets."

Nice of them to not volunteer to mention HOW the lining is different... If I was comfortable in off-the-rack sizes I'd probably break down and get a goatskin jacket to rough up into a totally distressed "screen accurate" Indy jacket. My Wested is lambskin but I know so many people rave about the goatskin jackets I feel like I'm missing out on something.

That's a great idea, winston. A great way to get a jacket to beat up on, without worrying too much about the outcome. Great practice jacket. The goatskin IS a nice leather, and while lamb has an awesome feel, and drape,..the goatskin feels more substantial overall. It feels like something Indy would have wore, were he real, not an actor playing Indy in a film. 'Blues

If it's a difference of the lining but the same cut overall, it doesn't sound too bad for one of these.

You know I'm pretty sure I would get one of these if I weren't short on money and deciding between an A-2 or an Indy on a Budget?

I'd almost expected to see Dirk jump on this. There are enough American "shipping companies" who might cut him some kind of deal on getting it there.
Pitfall's Uninsured Freight Company - "We never received any orders." G-Mann's Overly Nice Guy High Quality Goods and Services - "We only sent you one item?"
RagingBlues' Exports: "You didn't get nothing from me, got it?"
Tone's Air Messengers: "Just remember if they find out who we are, they'll find out how you're dead."
;D
Dirk? $150? Possibly Indy jacket? No?
