I'm looking for one of Todd's Costumes, discontinued 'Raiders' style fedoras for a big head size 60 or 61 if anyone has one they'd like to sell. I would also be interested in any other Indy hat that's not too worn out or messed up(except for Dorfmans). So if you have a big melon but no longer want your Indy hat send me a pm or reply here. Thanks

Hmm… wasn't aware the Raider was discontinued too. I have an old Todd's Uptowner (not your size and I'm not looking to sell it), and going on that, I should really give you fair warning-- it's not enough of an upgrade from the Dorfman. It's shrunk and tapered beyond recognition. Look more toward the FedIV and FedIV Deluxe. I think you'll be happier-- same price range, better hat.
Cheers!

Thanks for the heads up on the Coyle's hat. The Raider just looks so cool and I saw many good reviews not to mention the affordable price tag, made me want to get one. I guess I'm gonna order a Fed IV in the next couple weeks once I get my finances in order.

Hmm… wasn't aware the Raider was discontinued too... What happened was: Todd's sold out of the initial run of the "Raider" fedora in early October of 2012 (JUST before I was about to order it!!), and they placed a re-order. It took their vendor (in China) FOREVER to get them done, and when they finally arrived to port via the proverbial "slow boat from China", they were INCORRECT, having been made with the stiff felt of the "Downtowner", and to add insult to injury, most were CRUSHED in the shipping. Todd's people got to work re-blocking, steaming, and re-shading them, but decided they couldn't sell them as the softer, looser-felt "The Raider", and instead, did the right thing, and have been selling them as the appropriate "Downtowner". Don't know if they're planning to re-order another CORRECT run of the "Raider" style, but I'd encourage them to do so, as I obtained one via eBay (at HALF the original retail, ha!), and I have loved and worn it ever since as my go-to Indy lid. Even in plain-clothes... I love it. Thanks for the heads up on the Coyle's hat. The Raider just looks so cool and I saw many good reviews not to mention the affordable price tag, made me want to get one... Like I said, you SHOULD, anindy. Like you, I have the "larger-noggin-synrome", and wear a 60-61, depending on the hat. I'm currently looking to get a Rick Grimes-style Cattleman's cowboy/sheriffs hat, and that search has proved almost as difficult, as they don't make as many for us "big-brained" folk. But should Todd's get the "Raider" back in, RUN to your interwebs, DO NOT DELAY in ordering one.
