And he's only selling these on COW?! Please someone direct him here. I want one, but I'm not welcome over at that cesspool...

COW exclusive was the impression I had from an earlier discussion over on F&G.
I found his email-- I fired him off one.

Looks like I may potentially create a monster with this post. I've deleted the original posts and my comments to avoid inadvertantely starting a site war. I'd appreciate if an admin would do the same for the remainder of the posts on this topic.
Thanks, and apologies for making any waves.

If the overreacting comment was aimed at me, the answer's no--at least not intentionally. I'll reword my last so I don't appear that way. What I am doing is trying to prevent an outbreak of "site-wars" over my post. I only wanted to give a shout out to a fellow Indy fan who did a great job with the new shirt. I didn't realize he was exclusive the COW boards.
Cheers,

Well you took a passing comment and you made a stink about it and stormed off with your photos like a child who was told they couldn't have another lollipop. Very silly.
As for why there's tension-- COW is run by a bunch of fascist pricks who play favorites and go on banning sprees for anyone who doesn't tow the party line. It's utterly absurd because, as you said, we are all Indy fans. It's their divisive nonsense that causes the problem. Either we all think like them or we get banned. Absolute bull.
And so yes, it's frustrating that COW receives so much deference. And more that those of us who aren't members of that site miss out on opportunities because of said deference.
Again, we are all Indy fans. So why does one group get special treatment?

My great sin in the eyes of COW, for those curious, was to point out to a member who posted an angry rant about getting "ripped off" on Young Indy DVDs, that the items he bought were clearly bootlegged and the site he bought them from made that abundantly clear.
I also pointed out that his crusade to get said site removed was absurd-- that while I myself would never pay for illicit material, campaigning to remove sites that specialize in unreleased material really screws over a population who seeks out rare films that aren't otherwise available.
For pointing this out, I was attacked repeatedly, verbally, cruelly by this member. For appealing to the moderators for this, they instead banned me. I asked why? They said we were both banned. The ban was lifted (late, mind you) and I went back and sure enough-- this member had never been banned at all. And why? Because he's super-close with a particular vendor who I won't name.
So I called out the moderation in email for flat-out lying about the nature of the ban. And they sent me back a childish, snarky email about how I could now enjoy another month's ban. ...which they never lifted. This was nearly 2 years ago. And I say good-riddance.

Speaking for Azuma....
It's not that he's chosen COW over anywhere else...Just that since English isn't his native language, it's far easier to keep his posts in one place than ship them all over left right and centre..It means he's dealing with less people, with less questions, in a language (he's fluent, but it's still hard..Trust me..I'd hate to do it in Japanese and I speak it fine) he's not entirely cool with..
I suspect that's why he's only posted it on COW.....I wouldn't assume a big thing about it..There's nothing of the sort..Just that he found COW, and it works fine for him to use that site alone...If you want a shirt, his email is always open and he's more than welcoming...
Essentially...

I did email him, and indeed, he is very welcoming. He said I'm on the list for the next run.
Can't wait.

Publically posting other members contact information is a little "wrong"...I could tell him about this forum, but that's about it...And I suspect that he'd feel about the same as I do...It does make it harder to work out if there's more than one forum to post in...I speak English fine and doing that on more than one or two forums is a bit of a pain.....I could see why he'd simply not bother.....But I can ask if you want..

I just spoke to Azuma, and he asked me to tell people his email, which is
hamsolo@hotmail.com
He also asked me to let people here know that he's not trying to isolate his sales to one forum at all...It's just that the majority of Indy fans are over on COW, and so posting one post there usually hits the majority of the Indy fans out there...He apologises for appearing to confine sales there only, and has absolutely no problem with anyone else emailing him to get on the list for the next set of shirts he makes...
He's a very decent guy, and had no idea there was such feeling about it all..As he said "We're all Indy fans!!" (Something I wholeheartedly agree with....I'm not a "board fan"...I love Indy..That's all..), and in that spirit, he welcomes any and all out to find one of his shirts!
Regards to all from Azuma (and myself!)

Fifthchamber, thank you very much for your effort. The reason I asked you to post Azuma's contact information was, because he is a vendor, I didn't think it would be a breach of privacy. I am not a member of any other Indy forum, so there was no other way for me to get this information. Again, I am very grateful. Thanks........... Gary
