Every indy fan wants a whip that you can safely swing on. Unfortunately, with normal whips, they will either break or be permanently damaged if they are swung on, and that's even the case with paracord whips! The whips that actually can be swung on either aren't really whips ( for instance, stunt whips were often a steel cable with leather braided around it ) or they couldn't crack well, and on top of that barely looked like a whip at all.
I've fixed that! Ever since I started whip making I've been slowly designing a whip that can hold weight, without damaging the whip. On top of that, it looks like a regular indy whip, and cracks ALMOST as well as a regular whip. The only reason it doesn't crack exactly like a normal whip is because the fall is a special tapered paracord fall that I designed, so it feels light on the end, which is something you can get used to!
Because the design is completely unique to myself, I'm not going to give away too many details, but I will say that the very core of the whip is comprised of 2 hallow paracord strands, which is what holds the weight. Other than that, the internal construction consists of an 8" handle foundation, leather core, 2 roo plaited bellies, 2 bolsters, and a 12 plait roo overlay ending in a 6 plait point. Also, the heel knot foundation is setup in a way that weight can be put on it. I wouldn't put 100% of your weight on, but it can be used as a support. And even better, the dimensions are normal. 25mm at the start of the thong ( approximately 23mm handle ) with a 7mm point, and this can be altered a bit as with a normal whip.
Here's some pictures of the first one I made. It has been test cracked, swung on, and test cracked again. It cracks the same both times, the whip didn't stretch at all, and the seams didn't separate or anything!
Also, I have designed a paracord fall that is double reinforced at the eye ( to hold extra weight ) and on top of that it tapers! Even where it doesn't appear to taper in size, it tapers in weight. It is extra long ( approximately 4 ft. ) to accommodate for weight holding wraps.
These whips come with a spare fall, 5 extra crackers, a spare fall ( the special paracord one I made ) and a small cup of pecards leather dressing. I'm toying with the idea of writing up a maintenance guide just for this style of whip, and if I sell a couple I'll go ahead.
The prices for these whips are all follows. They take a lot more time to make than regular whips, and are more difficult to make, so they are a bit more expensive. USA shipping is included in these prices, and international shipping is a flat $30 on top of those prices. Insurance is included in the shipping.
Also, these are just common lengths, if there is another length that you want that's not listed, just pm or email me ( email will be at the bottom of this message ) for pricing on those. These prices go for swinging whips in your standard indy whip ( movie 1-3 , not the young indy whip ) and for standard american and australian styled whips. If you have questions regarding the different styles of whips, just pm or email me and I'll be happy to answer!
