FINAL design for the AB shirts label

Hey gang,

I wanted to show off the label that I'll have made for the AB shirts. Jason was so kind to supply me with a couple of pictures from the original shirt designers shirt.

Here's what it looks like:



I sent the pictures to Kim, asking what he things. If this would be something we should look into or rather make up something completely new. When I received his reply, he had already made a version of the AB label and I must say that I absolutely love it. It's plain, simple and yet it says everthing that AB is about.

What do you think:



I'm not perfectly positive on the color yet, but as always critism is more than welcome.

Only thing I can add is, I think you should keep the Adventurebilt script text standard on all items if at all possible. IMHO.

I agree with g-mann. I think the word (the name) Adventurebilt say's it all. I don't think you need the word dedicated at all. If I didn't know any better I would think Dedicated was the brand name.

what if you put Adventurebilt in the top and make it
Adventurebilt Deutschland? Or the obvious Deluxe?

As a replica of the label on the original Domentakis shirts, I think it's great. Kim did a great job coming up with a design that really evokes the look and feel of the original maker. However, if it were ME, I'd go another route entirely as far as the label design is concerned. No offense meant, but I think keeping some kind of brand consistency is important, especially since the AB name carries so much weight these days. I'd include the logo, if possible, or at the very least make the "Adventurebilt" name the centerpiece of the label. Having the font match with the script used on the hats would be a nice touch. Even using the same color scheme as the liners (white, gold and burgundy) wouldn't be a bad idea.

Anyways, it doesn't matter all that much to me what direction you go with the labels, as long as the shirts look good!

I think "Adventurebilt" in your logo font is all you really need. It's understated and cool at the same time.

That's just what I was trying to do GCR, a close reassembly resemble of the original label.
Now an Adventurebilt label that's a horse af a different color I'm a professional designer and art director so I know my way around brand names and how to make them stronger, but this was just a fast draft aiming at the Dometakis label.
"Dedicated" was really the first word I thought of when looking for a "D" word for the muck up. The thing is that it has always been the one word that sums up Indy IMO, I mean a guy who jumps in the ocean to hitch a ride on a German sub! He is DEDICATED

A possible solution, if we were to stick with this idea, is to write:
Dedicated
_{By Adventurebilt.}

Yeah, I'd have to agree with GCR when it comes to the label. I wouldn't worry about trying to duplicate the original label. I like the idea of having consistency threw the entire line of your products as far as the "logo" or labels go.

K is working on some new suggestions, that we'll discuss with Steve as always. He liked the first one, but I understand that the fellow fans want the shirt to be an AB shirt and not a "Dedicated" shirt.

Marc, you and Stve has built a great product so far and the name has a lot of weight behind it right now. Why pull away from it now?

I don't want to pull away from the name at all John. But for YEARS all that people wanted, was the most exact copy humanly possible of what they see on screen. Heck, the AB font is the same as HJ used back then!

When the idea came up to make an AB shirt, the consens was again to stay as close to the "real deal" as humanly possible. Hence the idea to "inspire" our label from the original maker.

This has changed basicly over night. AB is no longer a bunch of fanatics, replicating other peoples stuff. Now WE're the "real deal" and people are proud to wear AB gear more than ever.

The shirt can be a exact copy as the ones in the movie except for the label. Who's going to see the label when wearing it ( at least thats my thinking). The name Adventurebuilt says everything with one word. I say keep it simple.

Beautiful!!! Perfect!!! I think it serves the purpose well and covers all the bases. It keeps continuity with the other items in the AB range, has a classy "vintage" appearance but is still unique.
