Hey there, I was wondering if anyone had any experiences with this jacket: www.uswings.com/ijlegend.asp#BISONLGNDThe near $700 price has me wondering if it is worth and I have no experience with U.S. Wings or a Bison jacket. I'm thinking it's this or their Texas Steerhide US cut that I may order but $700 is a lot to throw down without knowing anything about it.

Zipper is on the wrong side, and collar stand is wrong. And it seems expensive.
Wings have a habit of pricing high at first then having eternal 'sales'. If you are set on one of their jackets, I suggest waiting till they cut them to $299 or $199 which they often do.

Y'know, I'm beginning to wonder... All of their Signature Series Jackets, with the exception of their black goatskin, have one thing in common: "Once they're gone, they're no longer available." Could this possibly be another deceptive sales trick? Steven

Well I have done a little bit of research and have seen bison jackets selling for large sums of money so the price seems about right. Does U.S. Wing have a tendency to over charge? Maybe I'm just better off with the steerhide?

They do tend to overcharge- but like KT says, they have sales ALL the time. Just wait a few months and it will probably be heavily discounted.

I don't have experience with the Bison, but I own two Signature Series jackets, one VIP in cowhide, and one in black goatskin. Both are comfortable, and very well made in terms of materials and workmanship. I doubt that any jacket is tougher. Some of the areas where they depart from 100 percent screen accuracy actually make them BETTER (for example, the presence of a facing between the zipper and the lining, and having the zipper on the right side are both things which I appreciate). Remember, the jackets used in the film were costumes, whose sole purpose was to provide a certain look, and not intended to be comfortable or practical in day-to-day wear.
