I don't think that phone number works anymore. Darren tried calling him and was told it was a wrong number. On 6/25, Graeme posted on COW, Since he states that he DOES in fact have an internet connection on his phone, I'm assuming he has the ability to answer emails. He has two hotmail addresses midlandwhips@hotmail.co.uk & groberts1@hotmail.co.ukSince are free, web-based email addresses, they should still work.

I feel for all of you here. Just a thought, and a confusing one.
If this guy is working all hours how come he has no money for internet. If he indeed has no money for internet why does he not simply log in with somebody else's internet connection.
Also can't any of you charge a credit or debit card back or inform paypal if you paid that way. If he can't provide tracking info then you get refunded.

If he is working all hours but has no money, he is like a lot of
people, has to go to bills.

Funny, I got bills too. Rather than throw out my $200, I would prefer to put it toward those bills.
I've paid for a service, a good and I haven't received on my end of that bargain. Can't afford to just go give my money away, can I? I expect something in return when I give it out.

Thing is in the UK you can walk into any public library and use the internet for free.
Failing that you can walk into any job centre and ask them where the nearest free internet connection is and they will tell you.
What about the charge back route for those who paid with a credit or debit card? Also what has paypal said for those who paid that way.
Once you have started down this route the serious fraud squad get involved and will go and see him.

Kwad and Ebeneezer have a very valid point. If you can access the net from you phone, then logic dictates that you can also access your free web based emails. If you need to use a computer there are cheap cyber cafes everywhere nowadays, or simply go to a friends house. I beleieve paypla has a stutute of limitations that has been discussed on other boards eliminating that as an option. The whole "fraud squad" or better business bureau angle you mention would probably be effective if we ( the customers) were UK based. However most of us, if not all, are overseas or in Europe. In any case, I still entertain the feeling that Graeme will eventually pull through. Time will tell.

I hope for all your sakes that he does. At the very least he needs to keep in contact with everyone.
As far as the Serious Fraud Squad is concerned, it won't matter what country your from, its the fact that the guy is trading in their country and therefore they will go see him.
It is illegal.

If this guy was trying to scam everyone, wouldn't he just leave
completely instead of every once in a while keeping in contact?
Maybe he hadn't though of using a library for internet, when our
internet was down for a long time, the thought didn't even cross
my mind one bit, but now that you say it it's like "oh DUH"

Hey CJ
Lets see if this new week brings you some sort of news concerning your whip. Around here people have a saying: "Hope is the last thing you lose".
ATB and fingers crossed
Bravo

While I AM hopeful that Graeme will manage to come through, I think the reason he's posting at all is because he knows he's made people SO mad about this that the next logical step can only be legal... I suspect that he's trying to placate as many people as he can while making his time stretch as far as it can go so that he has a chance of avoiding a legal issue and more loss...What that means is that he may well get to your whip EVENTUALLY...But he's in no rush to do so since doing so means he loses cash (for parts) and while I am fully aware that he TOOK cash to start with, it's patently clear that he used that cash to fund OTHER things, and not the GOODS you'd all ordered....
I suspect that he will come through, but I also suspect that he'll take as long as he can to manage it all as cheaply as he can do so...Which means some of those here will be waiting a lot longer...
The "non-internet" thing is a no-go..He's not living in the middle of nowhere, he's in the Midlands, and while it may be close, it's not there yet...He can get the Internet with ease if he wants it, I'm sure...But, as I said, I suspect it benefits him more to stay offline and pretend all is well with you guys who are waiting, since then it won't become stress on top of failure for him...
It's a VERY long road back sadly, and none of what he's done so far has assuaged the worry I had when he first vanished.....He's trying, but he's not able to try hard as he SHOULD..And that means the customer loses...
I may be wrong.....But honestly, I doubt it.

It should be noted, Daren had the same experience originally before it came to light all this nonsense with Graeme going bankrupt. Graeme had told Daren his whips had shipped, months went by, Graeme was not responding, making excuses, etc...
Of course, Daren has since received his whips and there is a video of them on his Youtube profile, but the behavior and empty promises seems all too familiar.

Yep, hope definately left the building, called a cab and is on its way to the airport as we speak.
Meanwhile, I've been passing my time by saving my pennies and stareing at Dusty's website, trying to decide which model I like best......

I have wondered how they age, since I heard whips that are internally only bolsters ( minus the cable ) do great new, but age badly. How are his?

I'm also waiting for a whip from Dusty an LC whip WAITING WITHOUT A WORRY IN THE WORLD it will be my second whip from him MARVELOUS QUALITY WHIPS for such great price Just a side note, how old is your first whip from him? I have wondered how they age, since I heard whips that are internally only bolsters ( minus the cable ) do great new, but age badly. How are his? Answer this I will : It's all in the binding Binding each layer of bolster with artificial sinew creates the same core compresion as braiding the bellies and in some cases more. "HOLD ON" before a debate gets giong, let me say that I made this conclusion based on my personal whips that I use A-LOT. The first few bullwhips I made in this way I used minimal binding. just enough to hold the bolster in place until the next bolster was applied. These whips became very supple very quickly. So I started adding more binding to each layer to stiffen things up. This worked great for the bull whips but as for the stock whips I had to stay with minimal binding because they need to be more supple to perform correctly. Another thing to consider is the cable core. I use the cable in my Texas Stock Whips with minimal binding and although they do get supple as they break in, they always maintain a nice round loop when coiled up. Now my Half Plait Handle Aussie style stock whip has a leather core with minimal bolster binding and it gets very supple as it breaks in developing that authentic oblong draped look when coiled up and hung from a hook or saddle horn. The different whips of my collection have different amounts of binding. Stock whips as I stated earlier have the minimum. The Raiders, SOC, Doom, Young Indy and the Crusader have much, much more to maintain firmness @ the transition and body through out the thong. As for the Indy 4, every layer of the first few feet of this whip (depending on length of course) is totally covered in binding to achive the errect Jacka look and feel. Thank you Cal' Jones for your confidence in my professionalism and your compliments of my work. -Dusty

I know that if I were to buy a cowhide whip, I would buy one from you dusty, though I don't see myself buying a whip anytime soon, I'd rather make mine well before buying someone else's
