Touch wood the snow is thawing and flights have restarted. However, they don't think that they will catch up on flights until January. More snow forecast too....

This is a little weird. This might be Off-Topic, but Jedi Master Ed's post count says only four posts, while in reality, he has made ALOT more than that. Is this a glitch or something? Steven

Steven His profile says he just joined today (this morning to be exact). It also says he has only 4 posts, but I can see many more when searching his post history. So... ProBoards muct have a glitch in progress today. These things always get fixed and the correct information is displayed at that point. Ken

Actually, I saw what happened. His account was deleted for awhile, wiping his posts. He was shown to be a guest. Later, his account came back, but it was like starting over, with only his posts after that counting to his total.
But, that's off topic.

I checked the security logs and saw that he deleted his own account, then re-opened it.... which as you said, explains the post count starting over. Just for the record, anyone can delete their own account but nobody elses and re-join if they like. Only an admin can delete/ban anyone's account, and there are only two of those at Indy Lounge... myself and G-Mann. Ken

He was probably editing his profile, and accidentally hit "delete accout" instead of "save changes". Either that, or he hit it on purpose, and then rejoined after giving it a second thought. Steven

I have read this Wested Bashing and have managed to match the writers on line name with the order. Why did he get a reply canceling the order and then another saying it was being processed? Bad Wested customer service? No. The fact is the gentleman omitted to say he made two orders the first dated 29th Nov at 23.09 was canceled as he quit without making payment. The second made on 30th Nov 15.13 was processed through Paypal successfully. Why did he have two shipping costs. Because he ordered two items, although in fairness the extra item a belt should have been postage free as it was with a major order. He only had to mention it. I have now refunded not only the extra postage but also the cost of the belt. Everything now has been dispatched.
The hold up on this order was the Pants and I personally spoke to the gentleman concerned and offered to send the pants later but he would wait.
The problem is that our pants manufacturer is closing down the business and was slow with our deliveries not helped by the snowstorms which disrupted production and distribution of his and indeed our business. We had several days without broadband and when it did come back on over 1000 emails many of course repetitive.
We now have a new London based factory for the pants, shirts and as all the jackets are now made in our own factory we should be able to provide a more speedy and efficient service.
I hope the writer does not feel offended by my reply but may understand the process a little better. I am available to circumvent problems like this. Just PM me
Happy Xmas Peter

Sorry I was gone all of today so I was unable to update the situation although it seems to late now.
Summary of the last few posts... I deleted my account because I felt I was being an idiot (which I was), then decided to come back for a fresh start. I attempted to edit my old posts or delete, after the last 2 posts I had done about talking to Gemma via-phone... but of course I could not delete the thread because I had already deleted my name. I was hoping the posts would automatically go away but nope... Oops.
So it appears that when I deposited a check in my account on Saturday 27, the bank I use does not make check transactions except on weekday nights. So rather than depositing the check funds Saturday or Monday morning it did not until Monday night. I had originally tried to order the items on either the 28th or 29th, but the card was rejected through PayPal and Wested... Called my bank found out why, waited till the next day... It was accepted. When I received the emails from Wested they were the next day and within a couple hours of each other. It turns out that the Canceled email was from the original order 2 days before, while the processing email was from 1 day before. I immediately emailed that day but had no response. I joined the boards and saw a ton of complaints about Wested Customer Service, so after several days of no reply to a then 2 emails I believed I was receiving the same spotty service. I found a post by Peter on this forum and emailed him with the email listed on here, I had no response. I believe this is when I started the thread here. I finally called Dec 10 and talked to Peter and he said the pants were not due to be shipped to him until the Next Tuesday and he said could ship the rest of the items separately, and I said ok that would be fine, but I think there was a misunderstanding and I believe he thought I meant to just wait. So when December 20 came around and I asked someone on the boards who ordered the same day as me if he had a tracking number or any contact when his items shipped, he said yes and he had received them within a few days. I became very concerned that my items had not yet shipped then, and when I emailed a 4th time, Gemma responded and said that the pants had to be made because my size was not standard. I had read a previous posters complaint that he had been told different stories from Wested in the past, and I felt that I was being treated the same, being told by Peter they were being made by another company, and Gemma that they were making them. So I asked if my other items had shipped and I was told No they were waiting on the pants, when I had talked to Peter I said to go ahead and send separately. As for the 2 shipping costs I had said that 1 was for the Belt, but I thought it should be applied to shipping the pants separately since I was already charged 2 shipping prices for 1 order. I eventually called Gemma Dec 22 and told her to go ahead and just send the 42 pants and not wait on the 44s and that would be fine and she said they would be shipped today (23rd)... I had not had a chance to get on and update that this morning I received an email from them saying my items were dispatched and I was refunded the 2nd shipping cost. Overall in both conversations both Peter and Gemma were very kind and I highly suggest calling Wested rather than emailing as they get many emails and might not read yours immediately if there are 1000 as they received.
I had a very rough week when I started this post, I had a family member attack me after myself and 91 yr old Great Grandfather and I refused to give him Vicodin, and then that same night my Father whom I just started talking to after 3 years was sending me threatening texts and I had to call the police twice and stay home for 2 days carrying a loaded gun at all times in fear. This most likely caused me to be impatient with Wested and jump to Conclusions since it seemed everyone else was out against me. I offer my sincerest apologies to Wested, Peter and Gemma for my posts, the misunderstanding, and any trouble I have caused. I look forward to receiving my products and will surely refer others to your company.
I handled the situation very immaturely, and Peter has handled it very maturely with his post. I hope you will accept my apology.
Ed
P.S. to the Admin's feel free to delete the bad posts on here, I would, but I deleted my original account to I cant.

There's no need to apologize. Wested has received too much flak here and elsewhere for it all to be accidents, coincidence, etc. Peter does try his best, though, so it's best to give him and Wested the benefit of the doubt.

Whoa. That's terrible! The other day, I met a girl named Emily who was in a similar situation with her abusive parents. I've been praying for her, so now I'm going to pray for you, as well. Steven

I feel I should point out that once a customer makes the issue public on a forum, the business is only responding in kind. Peter should be able to tell his side of things in public as well, rather than remaining the only silent party on the matter. In a perfect world, there wouldn't be any fund availability delays, communications problems, quality control issues, misunderstandings, or other drama. However, we silly humans tend to muck things up on a regular basis, so perfection will have to wait. I think this topic seems to have run it's course and should probably be handled out of the public eye at this point. Besides.... it's Christmas Eve as I write this, and their are more important things in this imperfect world. Ken
