Just ordered one from wested, have not seen a ton of pics, can someone share with me what makes this novapelle unique? I know it's distressed somewhat, which I plan on using pecards to try and darken.

Novapelle has a very light brushed finish, a bit like nubuck but not as pronounced, it marks and distresses fairly easily. After a bit of wear and conditioner the 'nap' disappears.
It appears that Nowak used a similar finish on the Crystal Skull jacket, though his was a more caramel/toffee type colour.

I have a Novapelle and like it a fair bit. I think the last answer is a good one. It has quite a matt finish with some smoother areas in places. It is a pre-distressed cow hide and has a reasonable weight to it.
I would use a conditioner but would not choose to darken it.
