Long story short: Fellow had this Expedition, and couldn't come to terms with the left-handed zipper. Offered to trade for something I had. Seemed like a good deal to me. Pretty nice jacket, fits differently (not better or worse) than my US Wings Signature Series, this is more "Raiders", while the Signature Series is more "Last Crusade". Features dark, grainy goatskin, two-piece gussets under the arms, and excellent freedom of movement.

Great trade off. You can't go wrong with a G&B in the proper size. Fits you very well. Cheers, John

I love the G&B Expedition for a number of reasons, prefer the dark brown color, and really like grainy goatskin.... so.... it sounds like a great combination to me sir! Congrats and it does look like a nice fit too. Ken

What size is it? 38/40/42 S/R/T? You state here that your regular size is 40 regular, and that your U.S. Wings in M (Reg, I'm assuming, or is it a Tall...?) fits perfectly, so I'm just doing some size comparing here. Those Expeditions really seem to look better being worn in regular photos like that than on the stock photos on Gibson & Barnes' website. I don't think their back image is very flattering for what is indeed a great0looking jacket.

That's correct, my regular size is a 40 R. My US Wings jacket is their M (38-40), and fits perfectly in the shoulders (seams are right at the edge of my shoulder). This is how the jacket Indy wears fits in "Last Crusade".
This Expedition is a 42 R, and is tailored more like a Raiders jacket, so the shoulder seams are just a little bit past the edge of my shoulders). I don't think this is an accident, G&B claims that they copied their pattern from a jacket actually used in the film. So the shoulders are slightly wider (maybe 3/4" on each side), and sleeves slightly shorter (by about the same amount), so that the cuffs end up at the same place. The Expedition's actual width across shoulders is 20 1/2" at top of sleeve. Sleeve length is 24".
If I had the Expedition in a 40R, the shoulders would probably be a "perfect fit", however I'm not sure if the sleeves would be long enough.
Wearing the jacket, I'm not really aware of where the seams are, just that the length of the sleeves is just right, and that I have really good freedom to stretch and reach for things.

Especially if they copied their pattern from a screen used jacket.
