Yeah, by now you probably heard of Scamper the Penguin (mostly because of me ). I see no reason to be ashamed, though. After all, Mr. Fusion is known as our resident Back to the Future fan. I see no reason why I can't be known as our resident Scamper the Penguin fan. So here are my photo manips for the big brown-clad archaeologist adventurer and the little blue-feathered penguin adventurer: Indy: Cute, what an adorable creature! Louie: Alright, Dr. Jones, Ms. Scott, we're right above Delhi. We forgot the parachutes before we took off, so you're going to have to use the life raft in the back. Thanks for choosing Lao Che Air Freight. Willie Scott: First kids driving cars, now THIS?!? Do you have something against using PROFESSIONAL TRANSPORTATION, Dr. Jones? Indy: Indy: Hang on, Scamper! They're right behind us! Scamper: Please, please, PLEASE heal my father with the Holy Grail? Indy: Well... Uh... I'll be making more, and you won't care one bit. EDIT: October 2 Indy: OOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!! EDIT: October 3 Scamper: Oh, sure. Don't even BOTHER catching the injured penguin! EDIT: January 16 Indy: Snakes, why'd it have to be snakes? Snowflake: I knew this was a bad idea! Steven

Thanks! Out of curiosity, have you REALLY seen The Adventures of Scamper the Penguin before? Or are you just playing along? I'm not being judgmental, I'm just curious. Steven

I've never seen them before. I don't know if I've heard of it before, but from what you've said, it sounds pretty cool.

Well, our family had the video since I was a child. I loved it as a child , it got lost during the move to AZ , I became an Indy fan , and my brother recovered it . When I started watching it again for the first time, the opening song was AWFUL. Awful, but thankfully short. I may have had a lot of good things to say about Scamper, but there are a few things to complain about as well. Before you go raiding Youtube for the movie, I think you should know that the way the film was adapted to American Standards was a little... targeted for children. So if you watch it muted and with subtitles, it would probably be as awesome as you think I have said it is. It's sonic experience really subtracts from the film. Also, keep in mind that the character of Snowflake is a cross between Willie Scott (tendancy to scream) and C-3PO (worrisome). I don't mind this, though, so it doesn't subtract it for me. There's also a little too much emphasis on worry in the dialogue. Fortunately, that's the worst of it. And it's an acquired taste. I'm not saying that it's a bad movie, I'm just pointing out the things you might want to skip or mute (like what I do with the ToD sacrifice scene and the Raiders Indy-and-Marion-cussing-at-each-other-in-the-Well-of-Souls scene). There's a Leopard Seal Attack, a daring, badly scored escape, and, at the end, a gunfight. Hopefully, I can get the remake underway in the far future and allow Indy fans to enjoy it as much as I do. Cute... kinda isn't in my vocabulary. I wouldn't be able to judge that. Sorry :-P You can do whatever photo manips you want. That's kinda the reason why I made THESE manips. I knew somebody would classify them as cute, but the first ToD one, especially with the lines used, was more intended for humor. Steven

Ah, there's nothing to it. Just find two compatible photos, one for the foreground and one for the background. For example, I got the Indy in the very first pic from the B@MJ website. I print-screened all of the Scamper images from the Youtubes. In Paint (I don't have or need Photoshop , I engulfed the Scamper in one shade of green, and carefully refined the edges. After Scamper was perfectly isolated from the Antarctic background, I opened the background image, clicked on "paste from," made the foreground image so that the green wouldn't show, and placed Scamper in the precise place I wanted him. The hardest part really is coming up with more. Can't think of a single thing for a Crystal Skull/Scamper manip. Steven

UPDATE Here's a new pic with Scamper and Snowflake trapped in the Well of Souls with Indy and Marion. The off-center image provided the perfect backdrop for a photo manipulation. Steven
