To the best of my understanding the $100 discount applies to: Signature Series "Collectors Edition" Vintage Cowhide (but not to others in the Signature Series) any of the "Hero" series jackets any of the "Legend" series jackets

Gibson & Barnes makes the claim that anything you buy now will be available for years to come. This is something U.S. Wings could never claim. Now, why did I come right out and say that? Apparently, U.S. Wings has been doing a bit of spring (...) cleaning in their Indy-style Adventurer section. Putting aside the fact that they now offer a Indy-style Holster, U.S. Wings just dumped the USW Striated Lambskin Indy-style Hero Jacket. Yep, that's the one that I was looking at. They lost me as a potential customer. That's not all. They also got rid of the US Wings Striated Lambskin A-2 2000 Jacket and USW Horsehide A-2 2000 Jacket. And just to confound potential customers of their US Wings Original Pattern Indy-style "Legend" Jackets, they removed the imported Original Pattern Striated Lambskin "Legend" Jacket. Their inventory of Hero and Legend jackets is a revolving door of here-and-not-here jackets. Their Signature Series jackets are the only ones they've left alone. Is that all? As a matter of fact, no. Their Antique Lambskin Lightweight Indy-style Hero Jacket has been given a "$100 HOLIDAY PRICE REDUCTION!" to the original price of $195. Sorting through their inventory isn't the easiest thing in the world. As of now, they don't offer anything that I would have any interest in. My nature as a " pocket freak" demands at least two interior pockets, and I need the best leather for the warmest weather, and that eliminates pretty much anything they offer except lambskin. They don't have any kind of Indy-style jacket with two interior pockets, so I can no longer consider U.S. Wings viable for me.

Here's a thought, why don't you get Wings to include a strip of leather big enough to edge a pocket with and then get an extra one installed by a local seamstress.
Wouldn't cost them anything any more than a couple of bucks and do some good PR.

An interesting idea, but that would be too much hassle when there are other manufacturers that do have the two (or more) inside pockets. I'm not biased to choose any one manufacturer over another. I'm just looking for the one jacket that best suits me (and yes, I know that I've been at this for a while now, but the money belt is tight now, and I need the right time to pull the trigger). I'm not going to single out a particular manufacturer that suits my fancy for some lolly-land reason and do all kinds of weird modifications to make it work. If U.S. Wings doesn't make anything that suits my needs, I'll just shop elsewhere.
What I might would do is contact them and see if they would bring the Striated Lambskin Hero Jacket back, if they would make the extra pocket an option on their other jackets, or something similar. Seeing as how I've never owned a leather jacket before, I want it to work out of the box. Once I've owned a few, I'll be more savvy with how to go about stuff like you suggested.

Babuchanan always seems to dive right into disliking us wings. Yes, we all know you want 2 interior pockets! lol You can't flame a brand's customer service for not cutting you a strip of leather so you can jerry rig a pocket on the inside...or for not making you a discontinued jacket..they've come out with all sorts of jackets over the past few months and discontinued many of them..you buy a jacket they continue to make, or you don't..its simple.. but you can't say " I'm not baised about a certain brand, I just want inside pockets." and then bash them every post they're brought up.. you obviously don't care for Us wings jackets. and that's cool.. of course, everyone has an opinion. I for one, own 2 Us Wings jackets. Their newer Lightweight antique lamb and an older "elbow stitch" VIP. They are 2 of the highest quality articles of clothing I own.

You misinterpret me. I do not say that there is necessarily anything wrong with U.S. Wings, or that there is anything wrong with the fact that they won't modify their jackets. I fully respect that, as well as the opinions of anyone else who likes there jackets. I am not saying that there is anything wrong with them at all. I am merely saying they are not right for me. That's just me. I know of several who are quite satisfied with their U.S. Wings jackets. I am sure they are great products--just not right for me. If I want two inside pockets, I'll get a jacket that has them, and if you're alright with one, I will respect that, as well. There's nothing wrong with me not getting a jacket that doesn't fit my style, and there's nothing wrong with you getting a jacket that doesn't fit my style.
It's funny, really--I received a PM once from someone who, after I made a post that suggested that I might buy from them, suggested that I do not. I am now being given a post in support of them when I just happened to make a post where I informed the community of what I found, and said that I probably wouldn't buy one, not that they're bad for everyone. If I make a post in support of them, someone tells me to go another direction; if I make a post not in support of them, someone tells me I'm flaming them. What's a guy to do? ;D
I do not intend to bash them for this. I am merely speaking for myself from the information I presented, not recommending against them to anyone. My apologies if I have offended anyone.

Speaking of their Antique Lambskin Lightweight Indy-style Hero Jacket, they're now running a one-time Cyber Monday Free Domestic Shipping. Standard shipping for domestic orders are free, and half-price for international orders. That's a $19.95 value if you're ordering the Antique Lambskin Lightweight Indy-style Hero Jacket, so you can order one right now at the face-value price of $195 (I think you only get taxed if you're in Ohio). That's a hard to beat price right now. Todd's is the only cheaper thing in terms of price for $149, at least right now. EDIT: I wonder if that $100 INDY GEAR/other website discount still applies in this scenario....
