I just got my pair of Wested pants today and they're so tight in the waist! I should have ordered a 38" instead of a 36". Also, does anyone else thing that they're incredibly itchy? I haven't stopped scratching since I put them on.

So are you going to get another pair of Indy Pants elsewhere, Ciaran?

I'll probably see about getting a pair of Magnoli's. Sure, it'll be expensive, but it should be worth it, right? LOL. I don't think I'll hold my breath for Todd's pants. There's been no word on those for a loooooooooooooong time. LOL.

I haven't stopped scratching since I put them on. Don't wear them in. I'd send them back and get the next size up. They are wool, that might take some time getting used to! (Maybe you can't wear wool, some people can't).

Kt is right, I'd send it back and get the next bigger size. Wool can make you itchy, but I'm sure you'll get used to it.

I haven't stopped scratching since I put them on. I found the opposite to be true. I usually get 32 chinos. But the wested 30 inch waist was just about right, very fitted though. The 32, the trousers were just too baggy.

Hi irishindyfan........ If you are having itch problems with wool, especially military type fabric, like I do, try light weight silk underwear bottoms from LL Bean. They feel great under woolen pants, and not expensive.

Thats why I like Todds as his has satin lining inside the leg. No scratching.

I think i may have tailored my wested too short. When I stand barefoot, the bottom of the back of the pant is about 2 inches off of the floor. Does that sound too short?

It may be too short. I had mine tailored to 1 inch and when wearing boots, it falls right over the vamp. This can be seen in pictures of Indy on the TOD bridge. Try wearing the tailored pants with your boots, in front of a full-length mirror if possible. If the cuffs fall right over the vamp, then its just right. I was lucky to go to a custom tailor, where I go in for several fittings to get the exact fit.

But when I wear my pants with my boots the bottom of the pant is about an inch above the top of the sole of the boot, so you can basically see about an inch of the back of my leather boots. But I noticed in TOD at the banquet palace where Indy wears his sports coat his pants are rather short looking.
