I know most of the people on this board already know about the great spirit of Indy shirt at Old Navy. But, just so it doesn't slip through the cracks... here is the link: www.oldnavy.com/browse/product.do?cid=6921&pid=387194If you haven't felt or seen it in person, it's very soft, lightweight, and a great Raider's color as well. I recommend checking it out, as an everyday adventure style shirt, that can also double as an Indy one in a pinch, as well. Ken

Yeah, it's good to have this link saved but I just hope the shirt doesn't vanish. I haven't been to Old Navy in a while so I haven't checked to see if there still available in the stores.

That is a great Adventure Shirt. RagingBlues pretty much covered the capabilities in his description. For those days you just don't want the pleated Indy shirt but still want the "spirit of adventure", it's fantastic! That is too bad they don't have them out there, Indiana Dirk, but....I guess it gets kind of expensive by the time you factor in shipping, but not that it "couldn't" be delivered to the Netherlands.

Out of all three shirts it's the one I wear the most with my gear and it's the one in most of my gear pics.

I only have one complaint with the Old Navy shirt. The cut. I have one of their flannel shirt and its a very slim cut, almost too slim for a winter shirt. I was hoping that their "Indy" shirt was cut to the same pattern, but for some reason its cut quite a bit bigger. Anywho, I agree, that its a pretty darn good shirt and a real steal for$25.

I own two and love to wear them. I'm also into wearing the Ex Officio shirts that you see on DFT. I don't have to iron them and they are great for travel. Check them out. Much cheaper on the "BAY".

Yes, I have to agree with you on that. The cut is a little bit to loose in the waste and it tends to balloon out. It's not as bad as my Cabela's shirt but it is rather annoying.

I picked up one of these yesterday, and I really like the feel of the fabric. One question though, do they shrink badly? Because the large size is just right for a fitted look (except for the aforementioned "ballooning waist,") but if any shrinkage happens, I'm in trouble.

I've washed mine a couple times without any shrinking. Of course I've been careful to wash in cold water and dry it on low.

No shrinking on mine either, but I also wash in cold water. I also hang it to dry instead of using the dryer, but then again, we do that with all the things we want to keep as new as possible. (We have a couple of clothes racks in the garage).

Uh, oh.....Looks like I better keep an eye on these before they vanish because I've thought about buying another one. Looks like their getting their Fall and Winter stuff in and the Summer clothes are going on sale.

;D Everytime I read the title of this thread I get the image of an Indian Spirit dressed in Raiders gear.
It's great that you caught this sale, RB.
I already have two of these shirts and wear them all the time, not specifically as a close-enough, but as an alternate non-Indy. They do have the "spirit of adventure" feel to them and they're very comfortable. $20.00 is a good deal!

Well, I just went to Old Navy here in my town tonight and they still have plenty of the "Indy Shirts" left. The problem is at least at my store there is no sale on these shirts. The price is still like $24.50 or something. So maybe the sale is only when you order from the website.

Just a heads up to people still interested in purchasing anymore of the Old Navy "Indy Shirts".
The store here in my town has all of the men's "summer" clothing marked down to 50% off. The "Indy" shirt is now only $11.99!
I'm assuming this is something happening at all of the stores across the U.S.

I've noticed the reduction online, but they're still $24.99 in the stores last time I checked. So I have a feeling once they go from the stores I doubt we'll see them restocked. This is probably the beginning of the end for one of the best close enough shirts I've ever seen. Get 'em while they last!

Get em now folks!

Well,
I had the cash to buy a second Old Navy shirt tonight for $11.99. It was the last large in the "Indy color" so now I have two of these shirts. I'm really glad I had the chance to get another one. I wore my original one around the zoo the other day and I didn't get to hot or to cold.....it was perfect.
What a great shirt at a fantastic price. I doubt we will be seeing anything like this again until next summer.
If anyone is still interested they need to move fast.

Just thought I'd pass this along. I guess the shirts are now down to $6. I may pick up a third and use it for material for the other two I own.
