Ok. I just got news that im gonna be playing a leading role in my church's vacation bible school. The theme is adventure so I figured i would use some of my gear. I need distressing issues quick. I dont have time to order anything or tear anything up and it needs to be inexpensive. I know that distressing is kinda tearing stuff, up but I dont feel like doing that to any of my gear. Thanks guys (and girls). Your always there.

If you have any sand in your area, just do anything involving your body making contact with the ground in your gear: barrel rolls, flops, pretending you're fighting the German Boxer, etc.

There's always Fuller's Earth. That can make your gear look old and worn real fast.

I would second Fullers Earth. Great stuff. I used it to weather my Star Wars Sandtrooper armor. it can be wiped off too I have some in Natural and Cocoa if you needed a bit. I could mail you a baggie of some if you are in the United States. I would just ask you cover the shipping costs otherwise you can find tubs of it online for 12.00+

Zmarty said "I don't have time to order anything or tear anything up and it needs to be inexpensive."
That means he needs it like ASAP. Rolling around in some sand (which is no problem here in AZ, the desert state) seems like the way to go. If there's no sand where he lives, then maybe I/he can think of something resourceful. Perhaps wood chips? Dust under the bed? I guess if he has sand where he lives, then he can just use that.

So...
There hasn't been an update for awhile. What happened with the distressing, Zmarty?

Standard clumping cat litter is made from chips of fullers earth. It is a type of natural clay. Get the cheapest unscented version and crush it up. You only need a little bit. You can get a big bag for a dollar. Will be more than you will ever need.

What did you do for the distressing? And, out of curiosity, the VBS thing? Steven
