I really want a wested authentic lamb. i'm a husky guy and easily take a 58 or 59 US.. i emailed wested and gemma got back to me saying the 54 is the biggest size they make, but will work with sleeve length and back length. so i ask, whats the point? aren't i paying the extra cash for a custom made to order jacket? also, i tried on a friends leather jacket he picked up while in italy a few years back just for size reference. this 54 didnt come close to fitting. is this because italian size are smaller than uk/us sizes? i'm in a rut here bc i want a good quality everyday wearable indy jacket but i dont feel like spending 400+ on a US wings, which seems to be the only company with larger sizes.

The thing its, for lambskin 54 may be their limit, the skins they get may not get big enough to make a 59" jacket. Cowhide probably would do. It may also be that they don't have a pattern drawn up for anything over 54. For this complete of redrawing there would be a significant upcharge and they don't want to charge you, so the simplest thing is to say. "Sorry, can't do it." PS an Italian size 54 is actually a 44" US if it is the european sizing.
