Here's my humble Indy collection... I've been a fan since I was a kid, but it was only about a few months ago that I started really collecting. Mainly because it was only after KOTCS that Indy merchandise (toys and collectibles) was released here in the Philippines. Here's an update on my collection as I've moved it to another shelf in the house. A shot of my whole collection Thumbnails with links... Here you can see some props which are all hand-made; except for the Chachapoyan Map which I just printed and scaled down to fit my frame. The headpiece, sankara manuscript, grail diary (well, printed and hand-made... I aged, binded and made the cover myself), holy grail and sankara stone are all hand-made by myself. The grail is the wrong shape, I know... but I just had to try making one on my own. The Sankara stone is.......... meh! Not good as well. Here's a comparison shot between my latest headpiece sculpt (made from epoxy putty) and my first sculpt (made from sculpey that bloated when I baked it). It's still not SA, but for me it's good enough to fool the average person... I say average person and an Indy fan. Here's the full album

I've been a fan since I was a kid and now I'm in my 30's... Back then, Indiana Jones wasn't that much of a hit in terms of merchandise here in the Philippines. I never saw a single Indy toy back then. Sure, there were lots of Star Wars, GI Joe and Transformers toys on the shelves, but no Indy.
After KOTCS things changed. For a short time, the Hasbro Indy line was being sold in Toys R Us. At first I wasn't sure if I wanted to start a new collection cuz I had lots of Star Trek stuff already.
A year after KOTCS, there were still a few Indy toys left and Toys R Us put them on sale. The action figures were gone though... The first Indy item I purchased was Mutt's Sword (a toy) then the Sound FX Whip which had a hat. After that, I was hooked.
I do regret not having bought all the action figures when Indy 4 came out. Now I don't have a 4" Indy to go with the other figures.

Well, I've added a few stuff to my collection just today. I found some dirt-cheap, loose (not in box) 4" Indy action figures in a toy shop. I also bought the Indiana Jones Ultimate Guide book. I guessed it was time to rearrange my collection. I added another shelf level to better display my stuff... My wife got home and just rolled her eyes! Oh, well... I assumed that would happen. Anyway, here's my updated collection:

Good job on the headpiece Fenris! I agree with CJ, I like how you set the figures up to the movies!

The only bad thing about the move of my collection was I lost a lot of the little accessories... I lost the swords of the cairo henchmen, some guns, Henry's grail diary, Mola Ram's dagger, etc... I think it got sweeped out when we were rearranging the room prior to me moving my collection downstairs to the office.

Sorry to hear about that. Even little things like that can be upsetting. But I'm sure the figures still look good.

So do I. All I have is a Raiders VHS, a few LEGO toys, a few Spirit-of-Indy gear items, and whatever my library has at its disposal.

Here's another updated shot of my display... added a Fertility Idol bank and made a pedestal for it using an old tupperware container.

Here's a new addition to my collection. My new Grail! It's a new sculpt that I made. Much more accurate than my first in terms of size and shape (see pics from my previous post), but not quite there yet. Still need to rework the cup part. Size comparison between the old grail I made and the new: Here it is when I was waiting for the epoxy putty to dry:

Yup. I based it on measurements I found on COW.
My first grail, aside from being the wrong shape, was the wrong size.

...just realized, that means my Sankara stone might also be too small. Hehehe.

really great display there, plus you took the time and effort to put everything in a display case, I never bothered to do that, theres stuff all over my flat mixed in with the star wars and army of darkness stuff
I really want that chachopayan map replica, i have a decent Idol replica and hoping to get the sankara stones and a temple of doom sword
somewhere at home I have a photo of the actual grail, the real prop used in the film!
