I should be getting my Wested ROLA in soft goatskin any day now, and was wondering if anyone recommends using some conditioner or water repellent spray?
I always use conditioner on my cowhide leather jackets. I just did not know if their is a special type of conditioner for goatskin or if I just use the same stuff.

I see this is an older post. Did you get a pre-distressed? I got a Wested goatskin with no distressing and did it myself. If yours is a DIY distressing job, lemmee know if you need any tips or advice.

Goodeknight - I also have a Wested ROLA goatskin that was not pre-distressed and would like to hurry along it's look. What tips do you have to offer? Thanks in advance, - Anomaly

Mine was not the pre-distressed (washed goat) version. I was going to get the washed goat but the regular ROTLA Goat went on special for around $150 USD so I couldn't pass it up.

The regular goatskin really needs no dressing at all. Not for a few years normal use at least!
