I got the Wested Indy shirt and I think it looks pretty good. I think the color it is pretty comparable to the screen shots on film. The fabric feels pretty good as well. I don't know how it really compares to the AB or the NH because I have not delt with them, but I am happy with it. Being happy with your purchase is all that matters. Ken I think that is a lot of why we are gear enthusiasts. Some like Raiders more than the other 3. and so on and forth. With all the different vendors that are out there, replicating all the different gear from the movies, I think it's all up to personal preference. I think the Wested shirt is really close to the shirt seen on film, color and all. It is more like a stone color more than a whitish color. I think it is close to the others that I've seen out there. Idk I maybe wrong.

I've got the AB shirt, and I can tell ya, it's a fantastic shirt. I couldn't be more happy with it. I may buy one of Todd's just to have a change some day.

You did good. The best shirt commercially available now. IMO.

Yeah, I think so too. But, if I had the money, I'd LOVE to track down those elusive NH shirts. Those things are crazy accurate!!!

I'm sure if Todd could do it relatively cheaply, he would make his own shirts in the right fabric.

It'd have to be custom-made, of course. The original fabric, according to KT, was Mercurized Cotton Poplin. Todd is currently using regular Cotton Poplin, which is an accurate weave, but not 100% accurate.

If Todd were to make his shirts out of the original fabric, I'd definitely be up for it.

So out of the three shirts readily available (excluding the NH shirt) which is the lightest weave and the right color? Also, how does the WPG shirt compare to these shirts?

If Todd were to make his shirts out of the original fabric, I'd definitely be up for it. If only.... one of the two biggest problems with duplicating the Noel Howard shirts is finding the same material and color he used. Knowing what "kind" of fabric it is doesn't do it alone. Ken

Steven A few of the offerings already have "similar" fabrics. It's the differences between them and what NH used that... well... make the difference. I believe a number of people/companies have tried to source it unsuccessfully over the past several years, and wound up just going with something "close enough". Ken

Since it looks as though Wested have changed colours slightly, I thought it would be nice to have another photo added.. Instead of "four shirts" make it "five and a half shirts compared" now? This has my Magnoli and Wested, the Wested design seems unchanged... Not a good fit for me...Way too big in the belly, and the sizing seems off...But the Magnoli is wonderful...Fits like a glove and the colour is great ("Raiders style").. Anyway...Thought that this photo would help being added here...Since you have all the others out there pretty much!

I also thought yesterday that perhaps the new Wested colours were closer to the Crystal Skull colour schemes? They seem a lot closer to green than to khaki, and the screen captures I've seen of Crystal Skull seems to have something rather close to the above colour...I'm not too sure, but that's what occurred to me yesterday..As can be seen in the photo above, the pockets are still rather large, and the buttons are closer to the TOD designs? The epaulettes and the buttons used are still on the large side...And considering that this is an XL Wested, it's made for someone considerably bigger than me...(I'm 5'9/178cm and 90kg's/200lbs...So usually an XL..)... FWIW...

Really? For Raiders? Or just a personal preference? See, I like wearing the gear out sometimes, and that shirt is so close to green that it stands out heavily... I like the Magnoli because it fits, but it's more sober.. And doesn't make a statement in the same way.. (I guess I'm also not a fan of green for shirts? LOL..)

you know, now that I've taken a closer look at the two shirts I prefer the Magnoli. I'm not sure why I said the wested perhaps it was the lighting, or maybe I looked at it to fast anyhoo. I don't really like my tan shirts to look green either, though I need to get me a SA Indy shirt.

Hmm....There are times when it looks good, usually in bright sunshine that tends to bleach some of the colour from it...But I still think it's a LOT closer to the Crystal Skulls colour scheme and rather too "green" for my liking...It works, but overall I prefer the Magnoli... Like all these things, as soon as I say it's ONE colour it'll change and be something else, and I'm sure we don't all see the EXACT same colours anyway...The best way is to see for yourself I guess...Photos depend on too many variables to provide a satisfactory idea....Which sucks... All the best..

My Wested shirt really doesn't seem green at all ;D And believe me, I've got A LOT of green stuff in my wardrobe (big fan of DPM) ;D ;D Compared with other shirts, it definitely seems more of a true khaki, as my dad used to have an old army tshirt, which actually had the story of khaki on it (The Dusty Regiment) and was obviously khaki itself Other supposedly "khaki" offerings are either actually 'stone', 'beige', or as is becoming the trend now, olive green (which the fashionistas now call khaki?!) Suppose it's your perception of the colour, but as the story went, Khaki was supposed to be a result of British imperial white uniforms washed in dirty rivers in India, which caused them to turn a dusty colour, which in the local lingo was called 'khaki' The closest other shirt I've got to that colour is a Royal Marines 'tropical' stone shirt, but that's definitely stone, as it's a slightly darker/rich-tea colour.
