I finally got my jacket! I ordered it on the 10 Dec. and I received it today. Gemma told me that it had been shipped last Thursday. It's a heavy jacket! It has to weigh about five pounds. Here's some pics: I should have more pictures later.

Very very nice jacket! Congratulations! I've ordered an LC custom in Demeber too. You've asked for any special spec or option?

Thank you! I'm really happy with it.
Yeah, I sent them several specs. I asked for a rounded LC collar, gave him the dimensions for the pockets, no hem stitch, V-tapered backpanel, no shoulder pads, and small rectangular side-strap boxes. I omitted the X-box stitching although I think there's at least one jacket in the movie that had X-box stitching.
One thing I did notice is that I think they accidentally set the snap on the left pocket off-center. Maybe it's supposed to be off-center. Even if it's an accident, I don't care and I think it makes the jacket more handmade and unique.
You can definitely feel the weight of the jacket when you wear it.

Also I've write them some specs as to abtain a more SA and strong jacket. So you're happy with the custom work of your jacket...fine! All you're specs was applied well? That's a great news and gave me the hope to receive a SA LC jacket! Have you payed extra money for your custom specs? For my specs Wested never ask me extra pounds (except of the cost for standard options I've choosed like Novapelle hide, extra gussets and inside pocket)...

My goal was to get a jacket that looked like it came out of Indiana Jones' closet, or at least the sales rack he got his jacket from. I'm in love with the horsehide. When I started looking at Wested jackets, I wasn't sure that I'd like horsehide; I thought it would be too heavy. But after seeing pictures of the horsehide drape and quotes on it's durability, I decided on it.
The only things I paid extra were for the horsehide and the extra inner pocket. The jacket did take about a week longer than most custom jackets.

Excellent looking jacket, greyfedora! I've always loved the LC style myself, and I hope to pick up an LC Wested someday. The hide looks very durable and seems to be a great color. Congrats!

Looks really good. I got a Raiders HH from Wested and I love the hide. The leather really softens with wear. I've ordered an LC in novapelle with most of the same changes in specs as you. What pocket size did you specify?

I asked for 6.5"W x 7.5"H pockets, but I got 6.25"W x 7.5"H. Not a big deal at all, can't really tell. I think the pockets look good proportionally with the jacket. Do you have any current pictures of your HH?
Also, I'm 6'0" and I asked for a 26" backlength. Most store bought jackets in size 44 have a back length of 27" to 28". I did this so I could put my hands in my pant pockets without having to raise up on the jacket bottom. It's a nice feature.
