Okay as my first post here i have an intresting question. If, by chance a virus or a bacteria had the momentum and evolutional ability to wipe out the world, could area 51 be used as a "doomsday shelter" if you dont know what im talking about then here is what im talking about. Picture this, a virus has spread across the world, hundreds of millions have died and a few billion are infected, if it gets out of hand enough, do you think the US government would isolate area 51 since it is so far away from civilization??? it is also in a very hot enviorment so it would be good when it comes to strategy of keeping all humans from going extinct. once all the humans that are infected die out the folks in A51 could re populate earth very slowly... idk just a thought.

Do I know you?...LOL.
It would be fairly well isolated, as well as state of the art medical research facilities. (after all, poking and prodding all those aliens, they might be able to cure a bactierial pandemic)
But the civilian population might not be allowed in. Only high military brass and top level politicians might make it in. (I bet bill Clinton would volunteer to go so he can help with repopulating the planet.)
By the way, welcome to the boards, son.
