Hi.......
Am about to otder a Wested off the rack Raiders and just want some more advice on size! I am about 34 years old, about 5ft 8 and average weight, chest measurement is anywhere between 42 and 44. Gemma from Wested told me to measure the chest loosely and buy that size. I just can`t decide which one to go for 42 or 44? If anyone out there is similar size to me and has brought from Wested can you please give me some advice on what their sizes are like and which one would be best?
Thanks so much in advance!

I think you will be happier with the 44 and the teeny tiny bit of extra room it will give you for wearing warm shirts and such underneath. These jackets aren't lined, so that's really a must in the winter. Ken

mikiejedi,
I have to agree with Ken. I would go with the 44. Better a wee bit too large than too small. It's not often that I wear any of my Indy jackets without a heavy shirt underneath.
Cheers, John

I'm 6'3" and 180lbs. I wear a size 42 Special Offer Raiders. I'm still rather slim, though.

This is where your own personal preference comes into play... I'm also 5'11"/175lbs and I prefer a 40Long where as Indynibs like the roomier 44R (his chest is obviously bigger than mine). But too you must realise that alot of these jackets over the years have gotten labled something other than what they should, for example I've had aleast a could of 40s that felt like and measured out to what a 42 would (or bigger). I know that only confuses the matter but it's the truth. My advice is go for the 42 if you like it less loose and 44 if you want it roomy. Remember that the 42 should have about 4" extra inches of room in the chest anyway.

Hope I'm not too late with this response. But, something else to consider is your shoulder width. I'm a 42 chest as well. But, broad shoulders puts me in the 44 sized jacket. Just a thought.
