I just tucked a few more screen caps into the mix, just to add some different angles. And, here's the great one page collection of Raiders hats put together by Mac: (click above for full size image) Thanks for adding this one to the mix Mac! Ken

Wow, impressive collection of hat screen caps. I really love some of the angles of the hat in those shots. In The shot of him walking holding the groceries in the market place the hat's crown looks really tall for some reason. You guys are always posting these pics from Raiders of Harrison and it kind of makes me sad because I see how young he looks and I wish they could have gotten a few more films in while he was that age.

I added nine photos to the already nice collection John put together a while back. I was really tesing out the screen cap feature of the latest version of Power DVD, on the new computer. This just gave me something productive to test it with. Depending on angles/proximity to the camera, or size/ratio settings, some of the aspects may be off on any screen cap. But, if you compare the height of the crown to the length of Harrison's face, it's always the same proportion. Ken

I just added three more from the templse scene. I checked the setting and keep aspect ratio had been checked from last night as well. I chose current screen size this time instead of original video size, which seems to have corrected the squished effect. I would have thought the original video size was the one to use, but this seems better.

Is it just me, or does it look like different hats in the "Raven" scenes? One pic looks like the brim is turned up higher than other from scene to scene?

You nailed it, Kap. The hat gets turned even further on Ford's head during the brawl with the Giant Sherpa, which subsequently causes the effects of the turn to become extreme and exaggerated in some of those shots.

What about this pic? Was this where he was waiting to get shot OR at the "Let her go!" part? Seems the brim is high in this pic.

You guys do realize that about 98% of this hobby is spent trying to figure out what the Hell they did to that hat? ;D In the immortal words of Henry Sr. "Let it go....." ;D I'm guessing the true answer will be revealed at the end of the world along with everything else. ;D

This pic is right after he nearly gets shot (but Marion shoots the would-be shooter first) which is after the tussle with the Giant Sherpa (when his hat got all screwy). -GCR

It's like this one. If you hang a plumb line from his front pinch, it will hang infront of HF's right eye. This makes an already turned hat go crazy. I think he's wearing the hat the same way in the shot you posted.

Correct, Kap. The two shots are but seconds apart in the film, it is the exact same hat. -GCR

I'd also like to point out boys, I hope you know movies are never shot in chronological order. It's quite possible that they shot the fight scene, and then Spielberg said, "ok we need to re-do this shot, or that shot where Harrison comes in the door", etc. This would easily explain why the hat looks different even during shots that appear to be right after one another. That's the magic (or lackluster) of Hollywood! -Snakes
