I am in the process of finalizing Indy's bachelor's degree from the University of Chicago. I made it Photoshop, but when I tried printing off a couple of test ones, on different paper and I noticed something that upset me. The smaller sized fonts are blurry and pixilated, no matter what I do.
I've tried printing the file as a PDF, a JPEG, a BMP...various other picture files. Then I got the bright idea to print it as a word document. Still, the small print was blurry and not at all prop quality.
So I tried it on another printer, hoping it was just that. My wife tried it on her uber-fancy printer at the archives where she works. Still, pixilated and blurry smaller fonts. To make sure it wasn't a printer issue, I typed up a document with small fonts--the same kind used on the prop diploma, and printed out. That worked just fine.
Any suggestions? Any help?

Probably it could have been the resolution used, not the format... 300dpi is the best minimum resolution for printing...

Yup, finished these things awhile ago and all I did was change the pixels per inch from the original 75 to a whopping 600. These things print out crystal clear.

Next time START working with a 300dpi document, because increasing the dpi AFTER the work could create BAAAD artifacts... You have been REALLY lucky that it came out so well...

Well, once the first batch looked horrible, I completely remade them from scratch with the higher res. So I didn't just enhance the low res.
