Mark me down as INTERESTED!!! If they're not outrageously priced I'd be interested in at least 2, maybe 3 boxes.

I've got some old Temple of Doom bubble gum cards but I don't know if I'll go after these or not. I've never really been into trading cards. I got more into collecting comics. In a round about way I know the artist that did those sketches. She's very good. She's done a lot of Star Wars pics.

More news involving the Topps card set: www.starwars.com/community/news/films/news20071126.htmlComing Soon: Topps Indiana Jones Heritage CardsNovember 26, 2007 In anticipation for the summer 2008 release of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Topps is releasing Indiana Jones Heritage cards (shipping at the end of Feb. 2008) and will be available exclusively in hobby and specialty markets, not at mass retail. The card imagery will feature 90 memorable scenes from all three original movies, with card designs paying homage to the Raiders of the Lost Ark cards first published by Topps in 1981. The retro-inspired Heritage branding and packaging -- complete with vintage gray-back card stock and bubble gum in every pack -- is sure to resonate with many collectors who grew up with the earlier Indiana Jones films. "We're thrilled to be associated once again with this truly extraordinary property," Topps/VP of Publishing Ira Friedman says. "Our Heritage treatment for the original movies is a nostalgic and fun way to kick off our Indiana Jones trading card initiative. We're certain the core fans will treasure this early appetizer; the first phase of an ongoing program that will transition to the new movie and beyond." Topps is in the process of finalizing arrangements with numerous cast members of the original movies to provide authentic autographs for the series. A list of confirmed signees will be announced shortly. An impressive roster of well-known illustrators is also on board to contribute original, one-of-a-kind Indiana Jones sketch cards. In addition, sequentially-numbered parallel cards round out the random, insert card offerings. For updates and behind-the-scenes information check out the Topps Blog from editor David Waldeck: blogs.starwars.com/StarWarsToppsAdditional information can be found on the official Topps site here: www.topps.com/----------------------------------------------- Ken

From the looks of it, they used the original Raiders card frame and changed the colors... just like I did for my card series !

Here's the official release info from Topps: Story Link: www.topps.com/ent/news/toppsNews.aspx?news_id=181Card Pic Link: www.topps.com/images/news/NewsLogo181.gifNew York, NY - Dec. 4, 2007 - The Topps Company is among a select few licensees releasing official merchandise in advance of the summer 2008 movie, ''Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.'' The company’s Indiana Jones Heritage cards will ship at the end of February and will be available exclusively in hobby and specialty markets, not at mass retail.
The card imagery will feature 90 memorable scenes from all three original movies, with card designs paying homage to the ''Raiders of the Lost Ark'' cards first published by Topps in 1981. The retro-inspired Heritage branding and packaging – complete with vintage grey-back card stock and bubble gum in every pack – is sure to resonate with many collectors who grew up with the earlier Indiana Jones films.

A list of confirmed signees will be announced shortly. An impressive roster of well-known illustrators is also on board to contribute original, one-of-a-kind Indiana Jones sketch cards. In addition, sequentially-numbered parallel cards round out the random, insert card offerings.
Overall interest in the Indiana Jones franchise is building. A recent nationwide poll of moviegoers, conducted by Movie Tickets.com, concluded that the upcoming Indiana Jones movie, now in post production, is the #1 anticipated film scheduled for next year. As announced sometime ago, the original creative team of Harrison Ford, director Steven Spielberg and executive producer George Lucas has re-united to bring this latest Indiana Jones adventure to the screen.
''We’re thrilled to be associated once again with this truly extraordinary property'', says Ira Friedman, Topps/VP of Publishing. ''Our Heritage treatment for the original movies is a nostalgic and fun way to kick off our Indiana Jones trading card initiative. We’re certain the core fans will treasure this early appetizer; the first phase of an ongoing program that will transition to the new movie and beyond.'' says Friedman.Ken

yea im kinda a little pissed about the cards, just for the fact ive been trying to contact topps on doing some of the sketch cards, but they havent got back to me. I met the rep for them at C4 and he told me send stuff in, but still nothing. I was really hoping to get on this series, but now seeing that they are coming out in Feb, im guessing i missed out. Hopefully i get do do some others soon.

Who would want a card autographed by "Mrs Donovan" ?? O.K. She's kinda pretty, but not (at all) an important character in the movies. Or a card autographed by the "chief henchman" for that matter
