Wow, looks like this project is coming along rather nicely. Holt, what type of paper did you use to print out the bible page on? It looks really good and authentic. I kind of think it looks a little bit better in B&W as well. Tone, I'm going to continue to see if I can find any other pics like that one. It's nice to see that the movie version really isn't to far off the mark as far as how the Ark was presented. It is really weird though how prominent the Ark is there for a while in the bible and then like Indy says "Whoosh, it just vanishes" without a trace. Now you would think something that was supposed to be so important and sacred would have been mentioned again even if it was destroyed or stolen.

While I was looking around I found this website. If you have the time it's a fascinating read and theory on what may have happened to the Ark. It's a "What if" scenario that rivals the Da Vinci Code. Here's the link. Find some spare time and read all of it. www.grahamphillips.net/Ark/Ark_3.htm

More Ark pics. Notice the glowing light between the angels in the first pic. The Ark of the Covenant (seen here being carried behind a cloud of smoke), mentioned in the Bible throughout the Old Testament, symbolized the agreement of faith made between God and the Israelites at Mount Sinai. The Ark supposedly contained the Decalogue (the Ten Commandments given by God to Moses), Aaron’s rod, and a pot of manna. The Ark represented God’s presence to the Israelites, who carried it with them while wandering through the desert and into battle. The Ark had disappeared by the time of the fall of Jerusalem in 586 bc, though it is mentioned in legends dating from after its disappearance.

Man, that turned out great. How did you color it? Did you do it by using the computer or did you do it by hand on the one you already printed out? If you don't mind I'll still continue to post any pics I find of the Ark that I believe are from a actual bible and anything about it in this thread.

thanks Harry yes it's the same B&W picture as before just colored it in by hand, using g-mann's screen grabs to look at the original color. I used special color pencils wich i got at a art and craft store here in my town, the thing is to color it right, the right way is color it in light sircles not vertical lines.I know this since my sister is a teacher at a drawing school Eric
