I just recieved this jacket from the 'Bay' and its in great shape but needed a cleaning. After talking to my cleaners and reading this site I deceided to wash it, it turned out great.I also tumbled in in a warm dryer for about 3 times at 10 minutes at a time. It still has a few tiny spots but what the hay its an old jacket, I would think from the early 80's. The brand is a G III, Global Identity, the lining has Nordic Adventure on it. Just as a side note I got it for less than $25 including shipping!

So this jacket ought to have some real character going on now huh? It's got a nice adventure look to it, like some sort of hybrid bomber style. I bet it's even softer now too, if that's possible after all those years. Congrats on being brave enough to take the plunge and having the jacket live to tell about it. Ken

Hey, I like the jacket. But the distresser in me would want to put pecard boot oil on it to see if it would darken up a bit. Thats just because I have found that darker jackets look better on me. You seem to pull of the lighter jacket look though. Congrats on the great results!

Thanks guys, I have some Lexol that I am thinking of using on it. It was an inexpensive jacket that turned out pretty good.

Is that jacket leather? It looks so soft and drapey in the pics I almost thought it was cloth! Very cool design, either way...I see some A-2 DNA in there... -GCR

GCR, this jacket is Suede, I was not sure when I bid on it but for the money I took the chance. Its a sweet looking jacket, I have a denim Wested on order. The winters are really mild here in my part of the south so the denim should do me fine. The 'thin' look of the G III was what caught my attention at first. It is a 'light' jacket so to speak and I think I can get alot of winter wear out of it.
