I'm one of the noobs around here, but thanks to the wonderful information you guys have provided, I went ahead and ordered my ROTLA special. I took a chance and ordered one "off the rack" and it fits great. Also, I got it super fast. I live in Florida and I got it in less than a week. Woo-hoo, just in time for the cold spell we are having. I took a chance too with my OTR Special Offer Raiders jacket. I have a really old leather jacket in a 42, so I went with that. When I got mine, also in about a week, it fit like a glove. I'm glad to here you like your's. And welcome to the Lounge! -Josh

i think the special offers a good idea from wested.... but i have to say the biggest thing with accuracy in the jacket for me is the pockets, and no offense but i dont like any of the pocket flaps I'm seeing on these special offers. They look in consistent, small, and just a sharp point without any scallop.

Ok, this could sound silly, but... Which special ROTLA is the more SA? Is it the "Special Offer Raiders ROLA Authentic Lambskin"? Or is it another one in this page: www.indyjacket.co.uk/frjacket.htmlAnd the color is that light or it looks more like the pics posted above (where it looks indeed better! ) Thanks in advance for your help!

Hey Ramiel, the link you posted is for the Custom Indyjacket from Wested. Techinically, with the right list of specifications, the custom would be more SA. That being said, the "special offer ROLA" has many of these special modifications as standard (but not all of them) so it's still a fine choice and saves the trouble of having to compile a long list of specs for the custom order.

That's weird, that wasn't the page I linked! -EDIT- I just noticed that every page I click has the same address, example: Well, this was the page I was talking about: So... Which one is the more accurate/nice Raiders jacket in the bunch I selected? P.S. Sorry for the hijack!

Blooze, don't be, it's not one of mine! I tried it on and had a couple of reference snaps taken. It was too big, and I'm kinda holding out for the 'washed goat', I have high hopes for that!

Hi All, I'm new to all this and was looking to go the 'off the peg' route for Wested and wondered if anyone has some advice about size - are the 'off the peg' jackets regular or long versions as even though I'm a 40" chest, I'd most certainly need a long. Or am I best forgoing the 'off the peg' and ordering a custom. I'd look to order the ROTLA Special or Goatskin.
