Hey, all! Just wanted to let you know that I have some new jackets you might be interested in, especially if you need one fast. These are made from my custom jacket patterns, so they have all the same features except for the pocket, which has a different handwarmer construction. I have standard sizes S, M, L, and XL in stock. Material is dark brown lambskin. Take a look: Just in case anyone is interested... Todd

Now that is an awesome deal Todd! I'll bet it's been killing you to keep this quiet while you made a bunch of them. Between the Indy clothing crowd and your halloween customers, I know you'll blow a bunch of these out. If I didn't already have 3 Indy jackets myself..... ;D Congrats on making this happen, Ken

Well, you guys know I've been talking about getting one of Todd's jackets for a long time and I've wanted to try lambskin for a while now so everything just kinda fell into place. I totally wasn't expecting this "deal" to pop up right now but I got the same feeling with this that I did with the AB rabbit deal and I've never regretted doing that at all. I'm just happy I had the funds right away. I've got a feeling these are going to sell fast. Of course as soon as I get this I'll post pics of it.

Todd I was wondering, what is the sleeve length on a XL jacket?

Interesting, very interesting. So Todd, you've decided to outsource the custom jacket pattern in order to make some less expensive jackets in generic sizes? Very cool idea. I have a few questions, though... Other than the pocket constructions difference, and the obvious differences one might find between a custom jacket and a standard sized jacket, are there any other differences that would set this jacket apart from the custom offering? Leather thickness? Quality? Color? I like the looks of this new jacket to be sure, I just don't like the looks of my currently empty wallet. ;D Oh, and congrats on picking one of these up, PH!!! For once you've got the dough and you're ready to pounce when a new deal on some great gear pops up. I can't wait to see your pics and read your review of the jacket once it arrives. -GCR

Thanks guys. I'm guessing I won't have to wait that long for the jacket to arrive. As long as the weather is decent when I get it I definitely will be taking outdoor shots of it in the sun. As far as the thickness of the jacket goes I'm going to guess it's the same as the custom jacket.....maybe even a little lighter?

Hey Todd, I'm still a little confused about what the hand warmer pockets are like. Could you post a pic of the pockets on your personal jacket?

Thanks, all, for the kind words.
The quality difference- I'd say the construction is just as good (cutting, sewing), but the materials are not the quality that I use for my custom jackets. I mean, it costs me $100 WHOLESALE just for the leather for ONE custom jacket. Obviously, there is a difference. The leather is lighter weight, but still soft and nice like you expect lamb to be. I believe it comes from older animals, though. I'll leave it to you all to make comparisons with other jackets you have.
Sleeve length, we will make measurements today and post a chart.
Pockets - sorry to cause so much concern over this... They are constructed like US wings, Flight suits, etc. The Wested pockets (and film pockets) were made so the handwarmer passes through a slit cut in the jacket body - so you actually put your hand between the jacket shell and the liner. The result is a hole in the jacket body that allows the jacket to expand at the pockets. Mine and the others are sewn over top of the jacket body with no hole. It looks exactly the same from the outside. You put your hand between the jacket body and the outer pocket.

Any chance a XXL size might be forthcoming for the "big" Indiana Jones fans out there?

For those that may not know or just didn't remember, this was Todd's original plan for making Indy jackets anyway. He labored over the designs and tried to get several companies to produce them in bulk for him. It helped to fill a niche in the market and appeal to the non Indy clothing crowd for halloween. Only after having the deals fall through for various reasons, did he pursue making them by hand as custom jackets.
It's nice to see a low cost option for the jackets now, especially with a great design instead of being close enough (U.S. Wings clearance, etc...).

Though must say, in no offence to PF but he only owns a goat jacket, we might be better off with a review from someone who owns several lamb jackets,
again no offence PF!

Here is a size chart for y'all. | Sleeve | Chest | Length | S | 32 | 44 | 23.5 | M | 33 | 46 | 24.5 | L | 33.5 | 48 | 25 | XL | 34 | 50 | 25 |
Yes, there are larger sizes on the way. I had ordered XXL but the factory underestimated the leather usage and fell short on this order. I would also like to see tall sizes in my line-up as well, since that is always my personal problem when clothes shopping. We'll see how well they sell. Yes, I am very happy that I can provide a jacket with the "look" for a reasonable price that the average Joe can afford. That was my intent all along. I really wouldn't have been able to do it without all the effort we went through on the custom work. Todd

Even though I only own one jacket that doesn't mean I can't tell if it's junk or not. I can still give my opinion on the jacket and show some pics. From the looks of it there's going to be plenty of people giving their own reviews so it just won't be me.

Wow, I've never been on totally opposite ends of a chart as I seem to be on this one. My sleeves, measured as instructed, would be 35. My chest is a 38-40, and the back length on a jacket that fits me well is 25.5. So, an XL is not long enough, but 12 sizes larger around? Am I a freak of nature? Wait, don't answer that, lol. I'm 6.1", about 170 lbs.

I also take a 38 chest, any chance there's going to be one to accomodate us?
