Hi there!
I have just joined here and was wondering if someone could help me? I am about to order a Wested Raiders jacket but not sure what size to get. When i measure under the arms i`m not sure how loose to do the measurement. To give you an idea when i put the tape measure under the arms tight around my body it is 38. I am thinking i need 40 or 42 though.
If anyone can assist me it would be greatly appreciated.
Regards, Mikie.

The tape measure is too stiff to get accurate measurements. When you measure, go to the biggest part of your chest (to wards the top of your arm pit) and measure loosley....not too tight but not too loose. Wested seems to to get this measurement correct when they get the right numbers from you. IF you are like me and the belly changes with the season, then you might want to add an inch to your chest size, i.e. 42 becomes a 44......Unless you are skinny like Ken ;D

Hey... since when have you seen a picture of me with my shirt off? You might be surprised you know... Then again.... maybe the very thought makes you sick. If so, you're a perfectly normal fella... and still ok in my book. ;D My opinion about the measurement of the jacket pretty much depends on how you want it to fit. Do you want a more form fitting jacket that looks like Indy's in Raiders? Then measure with a sewing tape a little more loosely as Cowboy suggested, then get that size. If you want it to fit more like a regular jacket should (or have a belly), get a size bigger. Other than that, make sure to give them you correct sleeve length (measured as suggested by Peter). Best of luck and welcome to Indy Lounge! Trim/Buff Ken
