The 24" statue of INDIANA JONES from Cinemaquette draws closer. My contact released half a dozen photos of the nearly finished statue that will release this Summer. The whole set can be viewed here. Feel free to write and ask if you have any questions. Also - a little bird may have said something about the possibility of HF signed versions. Nothing concrete yet - but keep checking back as we get closer for more info. -les

Hey, Les.
I saw these on your site this morning and although I'm very excited about it, they still have a tad bit of tweeking left that I hope they attend to. I sent them a long list of inaccuracies based on the prototype as did several of my friends who have close to 10 years of research into the costume alone and they were incredibly receprtive to criticism. Basically I told them many who would be totally interested would simply pass if it did not meet up to 'Raiders accurate' standards.
I still see that the eyes are blue instead of green. The bag strap buckle is not sqquare as it should be. The belt and shoes both need to be a darker, medium brown. The belt color is that of the Last Crusade belt which was lighter than the Raiders belt and the shoes in Raiders were also a much darker brown, although they have perfectly matched the current boot color if you were to buy them today, which they did for research purposes. The fedora could also use a tighter front pinch.
Still, it is without a doubt the most promising Raiders item to come along in a VERY long time. Thanks for posting here and I look very forward to seeing more and hopefully more changes by request of the fans. I know I'll be writing them again and I'm sure some of my friends will too once they see these pics. We just want it as perfect as possible, which can be done.

Well, most of the gear looks Ok, but it doesn't remind me of Harrison Ford at all. Plus he's obvously lousy with the whip to be getting tangled up like that . I expect this'll cost tons of money too.

I think they did a really good job with most of it and from a design standpoint I can see why they have the whip going around him like that.
The problem I have with it is the face and hat. I don't think the hat looks much like the one from Raiders. It has qualities to it but it's still off or something. The same goes for the face. It captures Indy's "spirit" but it doesn't look to much like Ford. There is something off about his features. To be honest I've seen better likeness of Ford in other figures.
It's nice to look at but I can't afford it anyway and even if I could I doubt I'd buy it.

IMHO I think it looks horrible as do the other Cinnemaquette figures , they lack the likeness ,

Aside from the Harrison likeness issues, I can see three things that need color adjusting from this small photo alone:
1. The hat is too dark
2. The pants are too light/wrong shade for Raiders and even TOD. They might be passable for Last Crusade pants though.
3. The shirt is a bit too light
The way the jacket falls reminds me of LC, but that may be the similarity to familiar LC whip promo shot. I agree with Pagey about the way the whip is twisted around his legs. I know it's done that way for practicality in design, and actually looks cool too. But, you would never have the whip wound around you like that if you knew what you were doing with it.
There are a ton of things that are right here, so I'm not trying to be negative about it. I would never spend the money for something like this anyway, but if I intended to... I would want it to be as close to perfect as possible. Tiny details and color issues are probably not going to turn away any "would be buyers" anyway.

It's just for at least the 1500 dollars the others cost , they should look better then they do , the Sideshow 1/4 scales look good too , and are cheaper.!

I was looking at the Indy figure a little more and I think the Cinemaquette is wearing my F21 shirt! ;D
I prefer the darker color pants myself but I kind of like the color of the pants the figure is wearing.
There is another glaring problem with this Cinemaquette that I haven't seen mentioned. He's to clean. I think they need to distress the jacket and add dust. As RB mentioned the hat is a bit to dark and I think it should be lightened up and there should be some distress or dust added.
As of right now this Indy's gear is as shiny and new as mine. ;D
