Another thing: It might be good to know what the current line-up is on the order list. Does Todd need to know what hide we are going to choose right now, or do we have a little ball-room to decide? If there are a few guys still in front of us, maybe we could wait, see what they decide, and hopefully see pics of their finished jackets? Ideas anyone?

Todd is just about ready to start on the Lounge Deal jackets so you can either pick a leather now or wait until you see pics of them as others receive and post them.
Todd will start making them in the order of the original list, unless he does not know what leather you want. In that case he will work on the next jacket on ther list that he has all the info for.
1.) Indyblues 2.) Tyrloch 3.) Rick5150 4.) Marc 5.) Anon
He has a LOT more orders so I don't want to hold him up at all.
Cheers, G-MANN

Is it just me or are the leather swatches now missing?

I think it might just be you, John -- I can still see them. But when he first posted them, I only saw x's, but when I went to look a second time, I could see them...try refreshing...

They're up there, G-Mann. It's probably your firewall being picky. Sometimes they filter the oddest things. I've noticed that some images don't come through with the firewall settings (depending on the time of day) and other times they're fine - but when shutting down the firewall temporarily everything seems to be working again.
Chances are if you check it again after restarting Internet Explorer or rebooting the comp you'll be able to see them again.

Isn't the cow hide be cheaper cost wise? I would think that would save Todd money producing the jackets and then the cost of the jackets would be lower, wouldn't it? I'm kind of torn between the lamb and cow sample. I can't wait to see pictures of the jacket in both hides.

John, my domain name expired! For about 12 hours there was no "Todd's Costumes"! The e-mail address the Domain name registrar had was about 6 years old, so I got no warnings to remind me to renew. But everything's okey-dokie now.
No, all the hides are within pennies of each other. As far as saving money, so far it costs me about $400 to make each jacket. I should be charging $800 for these. I'm counting on a significant reduction in time and cost as we go along - otherwise, we're going to have to charge a lot more. Oh, well.

So, Todd, any chances for samples? - I'm leaning heavily in the direction of the deer hide, but I'd like to see it in person and compare it to the other offers.
If you could send them to John, it'll only cost a few bucks (if that much) and I'll pay John to send it my way. - Besides, he could give a review and his impressions on the hides.
Regards,
Marc

I was wondering if Todd's jacket is cut similar to a Wested in front. That is, many people complained about ride-up in front. We were later told that that was because of the pot-belly syndrome. I really do not feel that this is my problem.
Almost all of my Westeds ride up higher in the front as did my Aero, which I had rebuilt with the added length in front. I know it is too early to tell, but will this be a similar issue, do you think?

Rick,
That may be a question that someone who has already received a jacket could answer...

Yeah, I'd like to know that one myself. I'm surprised it's never been brought up before.

According to the info provided by Patterson, his TL stunt jacket was longer in the front than the back. My own observations and prototypes confirm this. People's torsos slope backwards slightly, so the extra length in the front is necessary, even if you are trim. As far as fit of my jackets - we'll know the answer to that after more people try them and report on the fit.
As for leather samples, just hang on, guys. I'll have photos of a cow jacket and a lamb jacket in a few days. That should answer all your questions.

That's great news! After Todd posts the pics of the cow & lamb jackets, I'll have all the info I'll need to decide between the 2 hides...

Well, that and sleeve length.
