So I was planning to buy myself a brand new GB goat and had called them to find out colors and get leather samples. A nice lady by the name of Renee answered my call and told me that the goat came in black, dark brown, and a seal brown and she sent samples to me along with their new catalog.
After receiving the samples, I was very impressed by the seal brown as it was the color I wanted and was what I was looking for as far as a goat leather in a coat. I read through the catalog to check out the new pricing to only find that the catalog stated that the goat only came in dark brown and black. So I called GB again to confirm this before ordering and was told by a lady named Amy that it does come in seal brown, BUT that the seal is currently out of stock. So I waited a few weeks and checked in randomly to see if the goat was in stock.
So this Tuesday I called and got a salesman by the name of Alvin (as Amy wasn't in, and she was the one I got an extension number to) who told me that yes the seal goat is in, but that he's not sure if the Expedition comes in seal and he'll have to check with his manager before giving me a definite "yes" and that his manager had left for the day so he'd have to ask him tomorrow. So Alvin offers to call me back with an answer the next day, and I tell him that I'll be at work all day and to just leave a message on my voicemail. He agrees and I give him my number.
So today rolls around, and Alvin never gets back to me. No voicemail. No call period. I call GB and both Alvin and Amy aren't in today. I get a hold of a Jessica, and I ask her about the status of the seal brown goat, and she says it is in but (after asking her manager) the expedition does not come in seal only dark brown and, if I was interested, a black. I tell her about the answers I got from other salespeople and she says she's sorry, but her managers states that the expedition only comes in dark brown and black. I thank her for her answers and hang up... Fairly annoyed...
I don't know... Maybe I'm overreacting, but it shouldn't be this difficult just to get my hands on a seal brown goat jacket. I wouldn't be this annoyed if they had told me from the beginning without wavering that the coat only comes in dark brown and black. Am I
wrong? Is it just me? All I know for certain is I needed to vent. Maybe it's the fact I've had such a long hard week working at the hospital and school that I've burned myself down to a short fuse...? All I wanted was a jacket...
