Looks great, and with the grip piece removed... it will be even better! Ken

www.wwiiguns.com/shop/products.php?p=88df1aHere's another link. Its not perfect, as it based on the S&W K-frame Victory Model. However, its a accurate looking piece that would make a good close enough...if you don't mind the price.

Beautiful gun John! I added it as well, so thanks for the addition. The more we can make it easier for people to find things, the better.... (I think anyway). Ken

Guys, WWIIGUNS.com is a scam operation. I know a ton of WWII Airsoft members who were ripped off by this company.
I would remove that link ASAP. PM me if you want any further details about their "less than stellar" business practices.

Well I recently caved and bought Ben's secondhand Victory. It's a beauty and puts the airsoft I had been using to shame. If I get the courage I may try to mod the barrel, I am on the look out for good grips and a lanyard ring, but even so this rocks!

Nice find, KT! Damn, that thing looks like the real deal. I see that companies that sell these replicas have no issue reproducing the S&W name, trademark and logos, so I wonder what ended up causing the problems with Todd's planned 1917 replica? It seems doing something along the lines of reproducing a non-firing replica of a S&W handgun, complete with S&W name, etc, CAN be done, but perhaps obtaining the rights to do so from S&W was just too cost prohibitive? It would have been great to see Todd's project actually get off the ground, as it looked VERY promising. I'm a firearms enthusiast myself, and I've been on the lookout for a good bargain on a real 1917 for a while, but I would have jumped at the chance to have a decent replica (like Todd's) for display purposes, etc. Even something like you have there KT, would have been great, but getting your hands on replica guns in this state is even more difficult than getting a real gun in certain ways. Oh well...my WSP holster will remain empty for now... -GCR

I've seen the price of the gun like KT bought and they're not cheap. One you get up into that price range for a replica your better off just saving some more cash and buying the real deal. They are very nice though and I looked at the myself. Another thing I think all of you need to consider is the more realistic the "fake gun" looks the easier you can get into trouble with it.

Thanks guys I'm pretty chuffed with this. We can't buy real guns in the UK and replicas are pretty thin on the ground. Toymakers are steering away from anything that looks even mildly like a real gun too for obvious reasons. Can't seem to find the Tanaka over here either for some reason. This is a "model gun" it's made from a plastic that has metal filings incorporated into it so it feels cool to the touch and has some weight. It fires fpc caps so you get sound and smoke even sparks when you fire it. www.modelguns.co.uk/modelgun_videos.htmAnd as it was second hand I paid a lot less than full price, you guy's know me by now... I never pay the first priced asked! Ahhh! Looks like the one I got was the M10 rather than the Victory. Still very close! It even has a real looking firing pin. To set off the bullet shaped cartiges. www.modelguns.co.uk/s&w_victory.htm

Whoa! That is an extremely cool pistol KT. You sure seem to find the best secondhand stuff, between your jacket and this. I wouldn't mind having one of these guns, but I can't afford those new prices. I'm assuming these don't show up on ebay? I really like the shooting effects of the gun -- that's awesome. Steve

Thanks for the tip Mrfusion. I added the gun links to this and the main "Where To Buy" sections. We have Western Stage Props linked for a number of other items, but not guns so far.
Thanks again,
Ken

Well, I'm an idiot. I completely overlooked the previous links to the Western Stage Props site. Oh well. But I am making a costume and will post pics a little later. The Webely is a great addition to it, too.
